    Depends on the house really.

Modern build then then a decent 18v combi drill, with hammer, will cover most jobs.

Older house with decent, solid walls and mortar, then get a 14.4v drill for construction jobs and a mains powered hammer drill.

Bosch and makita mostly for me but Panasonic also do a nice line of battery drills and impact drivers.

Trend “snappy” quick chuck and drill bits save a lot of time.

Don’t buy a drill with “101 assorted drill and driver bits”, just a gimmick and made of cheese.

Does the first part not mean the second is impossible?
and are the people who keep getting bitten the ones who believe what you are saying should be the case.
Horses are unpredictable but people slow down for them and pass with great care

    That is just really daft.

If an owner can not control their dog verbally then it should be on a lead and muzzled if necessary.

Dogs are not horses. Ridiculous comparison.

Sounds like your dog has a slightly nervous disposition, so you need to work on that.

A kennel or plastic crate, inside the garage would probably help. She needs a space of her own, and only hers. She is now a “teenager” and needs her own bedroom.

If you find a local company that powder coats bike frames, they should have acid dipping tanks for cleaning alloy parts. If you are looking for a professional re-finish, you could ask them to strip it, then inspect it to see if it’s worth saving it, if any pitting is deep they may not want to re-coat it for you anyway.

    Not without buying new parts.

Check you can strip the parts, seatpost and BB, before spending any time on it.

Again, different opinion here but never mind.

Nice to see you are producing frames, best of luck.

And to think someone on here blames Raleigh for ruining UK frame building… Ho-hum…

Anyway, I’m happy to let the bikes do the talking.

Or Tube Investments, whatever you want to call them.

    Still not interested, thanks.

The Yale wireless alarm from Scewfix is easy to install and does the job.

CCTV easily defeated by scumbags wearing hoods.

Personally I will never forgive them for, almost single handed, undercutting the nations frame builders.
Apart from that, I still think they need to do much better than what they currently offer.

You could try Sikaflex EBT (Screwfix amongst others)

Seems to bond anything to everything and is permanently flexible.

If you do, i would say at least 3 days to achieve full bond strength.

The Party Wall Act only covers what is in the title, walls on a boundary that may or may not be part of a structure and any excavations that affect them (principally undercutting foundations but can also be used if backfilled)

Boundary disputes are a civil matter, but any damage could also be seen as criminal damage.

In either case you should have been notified of any works and asked permission to proceed beforehand.

If the party wall is in effect, common practice is for each party to have a surveyor, both paid for by the person undertaking the work. If an agreement can not be reached, a third party wall surveyor is employed to mediate.

A neighbour should be entitled to access via your property, if you refuse access they would need to make a legal case, otherwise they are trespassing.

CAB may be your best first port of call.

    CAB link

Take a multitude of photos of the damage, with reference points in the background.
Save the most recent photos of the garden before the damage was done.
    Good luck.

Description was “supplied without BB” but turned up with one included.

How old is you frame? Mine is new this year and no DM plate, same size.

Tomd – No plate on frame.

The direct mount band on is a Problem Solvers item, I think Charlie the Bikemonger stocks them but quite pricey (£40). I bought a new frame so it came with one, the shims are aluminium and seemed too thick, so i replaced them with some plastic shimano shims that I had spare.

I think someone else makes a version, Brand X possibly(?).

Best to get those bars down unless your wife likes to wheelie up hills.

Prices are often good and delivery quick when in stock.

I have had a similar experience with stuff on backorder and I don’t think it will change any time soon.

I use Snickers, good sizing and tough but not heavy cloth. As above Site and Mascot are both good mid-range options.

Cheaper ones will usually wear through the knees quicker.

You don’t need to buy the expensive knee pads, which will be separate to the trousers, as most are a similar size and you can cut them down if needed. You need to take the pads out for washing.

Top loader and pouch pockets work well for me, just personal taste and/or job specific.

Not sure about zip offs or short legs.

    Small, discrete saddle pack,
bottle sized storage container if you have a spare cage, best to have a extra strap on,
or get all enduro on it and tape stuff to your frame.

It will be the top of the cage where the rubbing occurs.

Good advice above. If your shifting is still accurate then the issue is likely to be with the wheel.
Spoke tension, bearings, axle, rim and hub integrity.

I’m interested in how much ballast the pro bikes need to carry to make race weight.

I do like the fact that it is an equal factor, but time for a revision, yes I think so.

As above, don’t fight it. As long as it’s not part of some more serious depression type thing, which it does not sound like it is?
