John Doh – I can see where you are coming from now.

Just raises a few more questions though.

Should a teacher be more able to reasonably deal with gobby kids than other landrover drivers?

How rude does a child need to be before it is acceptable for a teacher to chase them in a landrover?

In pursuit of full disclosure, it would be interesting to know from which ethnic group the children belonged, and if this affected the targeting of child by landrover driving teacher.

ALSO – I imagine there are some aspects of Japanese culture that would seem very attractive to someone like this.

    Thanks, after a quick poke about, it seems you have the choice of either LOOK or these;

    Man gets angry…………………

The court was told Mr Walker was verbally abused by three boys aged 12, 11, and 10, and chased them in his car, before slitting the tyres on their bikes with a Stanley knife.

Recorder Ben Nolan described his actions as extremely dangerous, and said the teacher could have killed the boys had they fallen.

And he’s in the BNP…..

As above, you need to figure out what the problem is.

Do you ride in too higher gear?

The Bat Conservation Trust claims that they commute between their roosts and foraging habitats, although I don’t know why they would need to do that if food was plentiful near their roosts.

Many bats would roost in dead trees but as these are rarely left standing in managed woodlands they need to find other sites.
Most of they prey species are able to detect the ultra sonic pulses so the bats need to keep moving to find enough food.
When they come out of their roost they are generally warming up, having a look around and getting a feeling for the weather etc.

OP – If you have a garden that supports insects they may just come to hunt.
If they are around at dusk they they may be roosting near or at your house, you could spend some time working out when they first appear, and narrow it down from that.
For example, If the previous night was wet then they should leave their roost earlier as they will be hungry.

The Minimus is good, I have owned one for a couple of years.

Not sure what the RRP is now but bought mine on sale.

The TS2.2 “professional” stand is a good tool but the QC is variable, as you may have read. The first one I received was returned, the second was acceptable but still needed calibrating. Once dialled in it works.

I was able to purchase mine at trade cost, don’t think I would want to pay retail price.

It’s a lot of work to make a dog proof fence for a week.

    As above,

Corkscrew ground anchor and a length of chain and/or rope depending on dog/breed.

Fix it where there is both sun, shade and rain cover with water bowl.

Then move anything that it can get hung up on out of the way.

If it’s too small for you there’s not much point in keeping it.

You may as well split it if you are going to sell.

I suggest you get a 29er single speed frame and two sets of wheels, one for road, one for trails.

Did you back B screw off all the way.

With a short hanger drop and a possible, inset hanger too, you may not need much tension at all.

Northwind – That knuckle looks like the standard shimano part to me, is it DM?

OP – I remember reading that Canflied use a 135mm maxle for a 142mm hub, which I thought was a bit odd at the time, is the hanger also set further inboard than usual?

Best suggestion is to back the B screw right off, reset to give the absolute minimum clearance at the 40T sprocket with the cage in working position and without chain. Then try that.

The only way to achieve that would be to remove some material from the hanger.

Does look like you have a very short hanger dimension, from axle centre to mech fixing hole centre.
Especially without an offset as the two holes are almost on the same vertical line.

Did you have this setup running okay before?

Have you double check the stops are meeting on the mech and hanger?
Has it just risen slightly as you have torqued the mech fixing bolt?

    EDIT – For clarity

    neilwheel

    Could be very worn.
Have you bent the mech hanger?

I had a chance to double check this morning.

Hope 40T with SLX GS RD in the same position as your photo has about 10mm clearance between arm and cassette/chain.
