Maybe in the minority here, but have some sympathy for the OP

I agree, but if they don’t have stock and will not offer any other solution, then the better route is to tell them you are not happy, work out a solution for yourself and move on.

You could get some HD white adhesive vinyl for the rear end?
Just to cover the stays, not all the fiddly bits, and then frame protection tape over the top if needed.

Or, as above, get a professional wrap job.

It does seem strange how the movement of the bike seems to speed up the longer it is on the ground.

Maybe the rider just rotates them out of the way when they are not needed?

What about the angle of the light on the crosser?

I did that and accepted that I’m an introvert I’ve just given up trying to be extravert and I’m much more settled for it…

    This is very, very important.

I don’t want to be a doom monger, but while the subject is on the table.

There is ongoing research that shows those with AS also have a higher incidence rate of dementia. My father, who is certainly on the AS spectrum but undiagnosed, has the rapid onset form of the disease.

If you feel the need, please also research this subject and any mitigating actions or treatments.

kcal – Not you specifically, I’m trying to promote better understanding of the condition, just not doing a very good job of it.

someone with AS is likely to be an introvert, but an Introvert does not necessarily have AS.

But much better put by martinhutch, above.

I do think that using terms like “social agoraphobia” also confuse the issue further.

Funny how a petrochemical researcher and an events manager have no idea about the potential of climate change.

It would have been good to see the rock balancer actually balance some rocks too.

Sorry, but these are not the same, those of you who feel you and/or with children on the spectrum, please do some more research.

I have mixed feelings about separation from the main carriageways. I’m not sure its the right answer.

Me too, but in London town there is no other solution than take area away from drivers and give it over to cyclists.

As above 243 or medium strength, don’t use high strength.

I’ve only been on here a short while, so I don’t know what exactly has been discussed before.

There is often an overlap between Aspergers and introversion, amongst many other traits.

AS is on a sliding scale, or spectrum, within the sliding scale of human traits, as is the Introvert/Extrovert sliding scale. People who have AS are much more likely to be on the Introvert end of the scale too, so someone with AS is likely to be an introvert, but an Introvert does not necessarily have AS.

I think that SBC does not want to get sidetracked, with traits that are not part of diagnosis and research.

There are a number of other potential reasons for work issues, but again, often those with AS and/or Introvert tendencies are going to find these situations harder to deal with.

You’re selective about what you quote Neil.

But this does seem to be the common attitude of large company head offices, not just Tesco.

My Mrs works for Tesco head office so is certainly in the know, and has had a good chuckle at some of the crap being posted.

People and customers complain, company staff find it amusing.[/quote]

I had already covered that part, sorry, didn’t realise I had to include it again.

The amount of utter rubbish being quoted on this thread is brilliant. My Mrs works for Tesco head office so is certainly in the know, and has had a good chuckle at some of the crap being posted

I have just gone back to read the whole thread as I thought I must have missed some funny posts.

Turns out, no, all seem like valid complaints to me, apart from the obvious jokes.

That’s out of context and unfair. If the ‘complaints’ were about genuine issues, they’d be no laughing. Stop being provocative for the sake of it.

I’m not sure how someone could laugh this off…………..

For what it’s worth, three out of five nearest supermarkets to me are Tesco. The local bakery survives but most other independent food shops are gone.
The worst Tesco is especially bad, often smelling of off dairy products and ‘grey’ meat products in the fridges. Stock is often poor, or the aisles filled with trolleys straight of the lorry. Staff are generally obviously unhappy, often look absolutely knackered and in the “bad one” will push past you and some of them are very smelly too.

No, I don’t go to Tesco very often.

This may not be true Tesco, may be brilliant at what they* do but public perception is king.

Very true, every time you visit a Tescos a little bit of the staff despair rubs off on you.

Supermarket boxes are good but often well scrutinised round our way, A bigger chain have been accommodating in the past though.

STATO – I imagine they are not very ‘ardcore, but might be useful for the OP and a house move. I prefer the industrial grade myself too.

I think “occupied” applies when the property is functioning for the business that the rate relief will be claimed on.

I think you can get 3 months exemption on empty property, may be longer in certain cases and depending on rateable value.

Any animal that you need a hunting knife to kill, if you could get close enough, has a better chance of seriously injuring you first.

Get your pads at the right height, angle and toe in to the rim first, if you can let the springs off it makes this easier.

Then adjust yoke height and straddle wire length, 90 degree angles with bakes applied is a good starting point. Generally, larger angles between arms and wires give more power but limit tyre clearance.

Adjust your spring tension to give even pad clearance and stronger return action.

    That makes more sense.

IMO Easiest/neatest option would be to cut the lip on the adaptor down to the same diameter as the hub seats on the forks.

In case there is any confusion I am NOT suggesting that drivers incapable of riding a bicycle wouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel if such a policy was introduced.

Nor am I, obviously exceptions would need to be made.

You can, will still need a drainage/root barrier membrane to protect the EPDM.
