Dickydutch I suggested that on a local Facebook group and got amazing abuse.
Hexhamshire Common is eerily quiet. Yesterday there were ground nesting birds all over the rough pastures an even a buzzard over Blanchland Common but not a sign of life over Hexhamshire Common.

Interesting leaflet ir-bandito. This kind of work on RoW requires Local Authority consultation and it says that putting a hard surface on a track previously used by vehicles requires planning permission.

Drac, In don’t think t’s an estate road at all. I think all these tracks over Hexhamshire Common are old roads, certainly pre-enclosure and probably old lead mining/packhorse tracks.
This treatment shows no respect to the history of the landscape or the historical value of the right of way.
People who do this would probably be very happy to pebble dash Durham Cathedral for cash.

joemmo likely both of those things. These are public highways though, not there for the landowner to turn into his private business asset. If he wants to build a landrover track he can do it on all the rest of the moor.

The original plan for The Italian Job was to stage the chase scene on Moulton bikes, but Benny Hill vetoed it.

Great version by Laibach of a song that really should be in the Worst Song Ever thread.

Try Bob Elliott, they’ve been fine with me as a mobile mechanic. I also got an account pretty easily with Windwave who stock all the BBB basics.

To me, a terrorist is only a terrorist if he/she chooses violence when peaceful, democratic means of change are available.
Mandela did not have that choice. Ergo, he was no terrorist.

Just been to see it. Absolutely minging. Some new definition of “excellent condition inside and out “ that I didn’t previously know about, I suppose.

RAC check is all clear. 4 previous owners. They suggest private buyers value of 3.5k Dealership £4.5k

I will check the gearbox shifts ok and the rear shocks aren’t borked as it has a towbar.

Its a semi automatic Peugeot Tepee 1.6 diesel se 2012, 120k miles. He wants £2600 whereas comparable model at dealerships are 6 to £8k. How bad would it have to be for this to be a bad deal?

Yes, pink string holds the English countryside together. An obvious choice as a hinge for a galvanised gate.

Since my only experience of eating in McDonalds was that it tasted of nothing, I would imagine you could dip anything in anything else without consequence.
McFillet of fish in a McFlurry for example.

You can fit pedals with toe clips to any bike and see right away whether overlap is an issue, though your feet may be further forward according to your cleat set-up.

Once on, Smoove stays on until you choose to remove it in a bath of chain cleaner. When you so, a great deal of dirt comes off with it. For this reason, I do this every dozen rides or so.

I did have a look around when I was in the area but turned up almost nothing. If you have a road or xc bike the riding is amazing and incredibly tough!

To seriously piss of DCC, make a proper effort to research all the footpaths in the county and submit DMMO applications for every one that turns out to be an old road. With some concerted effort it should be possible to clog up their RoW department with paperwork, while at the same time revealing that a large percentage of footpaths are really roads or bridleways and not “cheeky “ at all. Your local British Horse Society should already be on the case and has funding to do just this. Talk to them.

I was just using the ordinary light ones. The orange stems do look awful and as I found are brittle . They are also not easy to get an airtight seal with some pumps.
