    Hi Orangejohn,

Any chance I could buy a couple of second hand bits off you please?

I am in the middle of putting a frame together. I bought the rear triangle from ebay and the front triangle off a nice chap from this forum. Now I am looking for a couple of missings bits to get me going until I can afford a full rebuild kit ($100 plus $40 shipping plus import tax is a bit on the high side at the moment). I am looking for a main pivot kit (typical that Silverfish do not have any in stock, grrr), and two bushings and two rubber rings for the lower DW link. I am trying to find out the size of the bushings to try and source from Igus but nobody seems to know the required measurements.

P.S TF Tuned have UK stock of the PTX bushings…

If anybody wants to sell/give me their old ones please shout 🙂

    Thanks Neil

    Hi Orangejohn,

Any news? Now find myself in the same predicament after buying a 2nd hand DW 5 spot.

I got a triple from them for £150 at the last sale, very good value at that price, no complaints here, super smooth bearings.

    Try these websites:

    http://www.chaletchardons.com/php/hotel-prices.php

    http://www.skibonjour.com/skiingchaletprices.cfm

You will need to make your own travel plans to the chalets, but offer good value in my eyes…worth a phone call/email and see what they have left.

We have booked for a different week in Tignes, traveling by train via Paris on overnight trains for less than £200 each to Bourg St Maurice. booked though Eurostar to Paris and TGV web sites for rest to reduce cost. Same cost as flying but longer on slopes and better for the environment 🙂

cynic-al…that is where i am coming from. These death are truly terrible, but they are accidents. They do not undermine the sport in my eyes in the same way. I think you put the point very well.

Maybe the East Germans drug program was worse, but before my time. Lance certainly lowers my respect for everyone involved in pro cycling, past and most unfortunately present, sorry brad, you get tainted 🙁

Agree with the contador ban, UCI need to sort themselves out, life bans and massive fines equal to most of the cyclists wealth…otherwise always worth the risk to some people.

Ok, so joined Strava and searched my local area. Found a good hill in some woods that somebody had set up as a segment. I have then typed that segment and some dates into the Strava multiple ride mapper website and it then shows all the routes that are on Strava that people have made with that hill being a part of their route. Results are brilliant 🙂 Very happy. Now got to pick the best parts and export to a GPX for me. Great technology 🙂

Yeah, I found that if you google strava and an area your looking at cyling you can find a local segment ID. Will take a bit more digging but good potential. Think I need to make a local hill a segment on Strava, and then I can see all the routes that people take that include this segment as a part of their route. As it will be a MTB only hill, should only get MTB users 🙂

That Strava multiple ride mapper seems to work well, is there the ability to choose only mtb routes?
