Two days into my holiday at Les Gets and my hands are fine. I get to the bottom of the run and while others are still staring at their hands, I am getting on the next lift 🙂

In les gets for the week so will report back in due course. Took them to a Cannock for the day and they seemed great but the alps will be a true test

Works out around £310 posted, a crazy price !

100% they have the charge damper as I have just received a pair, only difference is the pedal setting which is no way worth £200 over the RCT3 from the cheapest online price.

    also confirmed here: http://jungleracing.com/tag/setup/

Not sure what to expect if I am honest as its my first alps trip.

I have been riding at forest of dean and bike park wales using the uplifts. I have a 140mm bike with some of the new 150mm pikes, which gets me down those places happily enough, although I am not yet confident doing big jumps or big drops yet.

I have signed up to MCF lessons every day so that my riding improves. I would like to get to the point where I can do say 4-5ft drops and some reasonable size jumps.

Seems unclear what is included, but we are assuming nothing so want a big list which the above it giving us…

    Turf
    Fencing
    Tiles in bathrooms
    Showers
    Doorbell

Are definitely not from what I understand at this stage.

I sold my 2009 DW 5 spot for £200 after fees and postage without a shock as a guide to price.

Finally got it built and ridden, and I love it !

Got to tidy the cables a little, but you get the idea 🙂

Went 1 X 10 with the one up 42T and have to say it works very well.

I got one of these which I highly recommend.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Wireless-GSM-PIR-Home-Security-Alarm-System-Auto-Dialer-Call-SMS-315-433MHz-/331128818287?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item4d18d0ca6f

Put the unit in the house, and put a door magnet on the shed door. Battery only gets used when the door opens so battery lasts for ever. You can buy extra sensors very cheaply from ebay.

Then I got a sim card from GiffGaff for £10 and I then get a phone call and a text message when the alarm striggers. It can send a text to up to 5 numbers which is useful and phone 3 numbers from memory. Just have to make sure I set off the alarm every 3 months so I do not loose my credit or uou can also text the alarm system to check the status, it texts you back, and if you forgot to set it, you can set it remotely.

Gotta have faith in Santa Cruz if anything were to ever happen.

coolhandluke, what size pikes did you get, thinking 160 unless I get persuaded they are a bad idea from somebodies actual experience.

I think its the 2012 version, but like you not totally sure, but for the price thought it worth every penny. Definitely not the latest as it has the 135mm rear triangle which means I can use the same wheels 🙂

I got the Blur LTC this morning, thanks for the PSA 🙂

Now I have to consider forks. I have fox 36’s and Revelations from my turner 5 spot which I swap, depending on what I am doing. Thinking i will get some Pikes as a do it all fork not that I have a frame that will accept them.

Any view on which would be better? 150 or 160 for the LTc?

Euro 101 is correct for race entry plus lift pass for the week, there was the option of the activity centre, so likely you paid for that also.

The plane explanation makes no sense.

I am allowed to bring this onto a plane as hand luggage or in the hold.

    https://www.abs-airbag.com/us/abs-in-planes.html

Its a full gas cartridge and trigger handle with a small explosive in it. Looks like this:

    http://www.snowsafe.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=248

I think we may need to get bike shocks added to this to be able to safely fly with suspension bikes:

    https://www.abs-airbag.com/abs-media/pdf/IATA_table_2013_EN.pdf

There must be a similar table for haulage companies on dangerous goods, then include the table highlighting the relevant paragraph with the shock to let RM (and other couriers) know its a legit item.
