The Horns in Slitting Mill. If you know where the start of the old section 3 is then you can see it from there…

The swb is long enough to strap the bike in along one of the walls and I have slept in the back stretched out with room to spare. Its just under 2.0m high so will get into most car parks even Maccy D's…. 😆

Didnt realise SP was so populated with riders, as I hardly see anyone. Usually Sunday morning and try to do one evening in the week. Inbred 29er usually or a Green Motolite

I used to get this on an 03 Vauxhall Combo. Mine turned out to be the central locking/immoboliser. Just had to turn ignition off, lock the van using the key remote, open again and the light went off. Used to happen about once a week so lived with it.

I had a 60CSX prior to my 705 and had the same problem. Poor reception and loosing signals in the trees. Phoned Garmin and they were very helpful and talked me through a master reset followed by a software update. Worked spot on after that.

Have you got the latest software for the unit as Garmin regularly update the GPS receiver software aswell. I normally check every couple of months.

We were sponsored by Demon Tweeks when we raced in the FIA GT championship and they supplied us with Mechanix gloves. They werent that good. We found that the material was too stiff and you couldnt pick any tools up with them. The tips of the fingers wore out too easily and held water too much when it rained. We found Ringers gloves better….

Hi Trout. Have you had a look at the Hirschmann Connectors range. We use them in a motorsport application involving water. They are very easy to use and have a twist lock. We use them as an alternative to Lemos and they are cheap aswell.

    Sandvik is now called BAHCO

    Are you sure…?

Bahco is a Swedish tool company that Snap-On bought out in 1999.

Sandvik is a Swedish engineering group

The turning off problem is a known fault (on a 60csx and maybe the same on yours) and a bit of googling the forums will give you the answer. The only negative I will give Garmin is they didnt tell me when I phoned them that this could be the problem but it does mean taking the unit apart so this maybe the reason they didnt.

This explanation is for the 60CSX but maybe the same for the HCX. Take the batteries out. Unscrew the 6 screws holding the back on and gently remove the back taking care not to damage the o-ring. On the back of the battery compartment you will see two tabs that transfer the power to the GPS. They will probably be blacked, clean this and bend the tab up a bit. Do the same with the other contact patch. They recomend putting something on this but cant remember what and I didnt. Then refit and it worked for me.

We did all the fabrications on the early Jordans till carbon fibre took over and met him a few times. Nice enough bloke but it is a known fact that he is as bald as a coot… 😀

Yes ive used it when I had Sky. Works really well but obviously what is viewed on the second tv will have to be watched on the first tv. Only thing is the quality is a bit lost as it is from the RF output.

I do a lot of work for an independant Lotus garage and what we are finding now is that the S1 is showing its age abit unless you can find a good example. As previously stated make sure you know the history of the car. Check underneath at the front for floor damage, check all the points where the wishbones mount for bent chassis ( gets damaged if had a wheel contact ), as with all cars check the straightness of the body, if you can check all the fixings for the front clam, if they are rounded or damaged it indicates the front clam has been removed for some reason.
If I went for an S1 some of the upgrades I would like to see would be aluminium front rad ( std ones are very weak ), upgrade to S2 dampers or higher spec, had a geo setup.
As previously stated look on SELOC or MLOC as this is where you will find the best examples of cars for sale by people who are fanatical about them

And finally if you get one, make sure u get a new back as after a bit they are a pain in the ar$e to get in and out of.. 😆

As uplink says. They have probably broken the tabs off the pollen filter box. Take it straight back to garage to get it fixed
