We had the van next to our race truck at Donington last year. From memory they had to move the rear wheel arches forward on the van to match the wheel base of the XJ220.

I decided to get a Project One Madone and went for the OCLV frame but specced it with 105 components to stay in my budget. I find it lovely and smooth and have a good frame that I can up spec when and if I need. To be honest if I need to replace anything I will stick with 105.

If your looking for a T350 then get in touch with a TVR specialist as Im sure you are aware they do have a reputation. I used to work for an independant dealer but luckily I worked on the Lotus side and not the TVR.

One thing we used to do alot, to older TVR’s and not T350’s, was replace chassis out-riggers which meant a body off rebuild. They were a mud trap down just behind the front wheels where the diagonal brace meets the bottom of the “A” post.

So if you are looking at one get an expert to check it out first…

Mmmm, I was going to say to could try my card but im in Brum. 🙄

If your still struggling then Im driving down to Penzance tomorrow with my bike. Your welcome to try my card and I can have a look if your near the M5/A30 tomorrow morning.

Have a look at Mobile Atlas Creator. You can use it to get 1:25000 OS maps onto the 800. Works a treat.

Try a full reset but this will lose all your screen settings. Push and hold top left of screen while turning on the power. It should then ask if you want to to a full reset.

Have you pushed it right in till it clicks?

Have you selected the OS map in the menu?

    800…..

Just upgraded from a 705 to an 800 and its much better.

The main advantage is that you can upload OS 1:25000 maps of the area your in and use it to navigate. You just grab them off any website that uses them…

We use all steel Goodridge fittings on our race cars. Never used any thing but on important bits like brakes.

Makes you wonder who would get out of their car while its in gear. At least she didnt film it herself, now that would be strange…. 😆

Agree with MrNutt. Every tester has his own swipe card which he must log on to the system with. He then has a certain amount of time in which to carry out the test. If you have a receipt with a time and date on then I would ask for a refund. If that is not forth coming then a call to VOSA as your car would have had a slot booked and maybe VOSA would be able to check to see if your car reg was booked in on the day of the receipt.

Clamp hose in the vice so you leave about 1-2mm gap between top of vice and lever body. Then get 2 screwdrivers, one either side of the hose wedged between the vice and body then lever up on the screwdrivers. Hopefully that should do it.

Otherwise Scruff, I work in Hixon at the airfield so if you can get it over to me I can have a go for you

We run the 2 Sciroccos of Mike Kurton and Kieron Griffin. And 2 MkV’s for Mark Clynes and Richard Walker was in the black one this weekend

No we run a LSD but with a very light preload.

We get our engines from breakers, most have between 10 and 20 grand on the clock. We have to run them standard and run a power to weight ratio. The 270hp Sciroccos have to carry 150k of ballast so they are worked pretty hard.

We run 6 speed Mk V’s in the VW cup and VAG Trophy. We change maps from 270 to 350 using bluefin and run standard boxes and driveshafts. Just run an uprated clutch. And our cars get a real hammering.

You could always use Bluefin. If you do have an accident or claim then you can just put your standard map back in and no-ones the wiser.

Hi roof lwb connect will take a full bike in without taking wheel off. Goes in straight up against the side. If you get one with the mesh bulkhead and the folding flat passenger front seat then you can stretch out and sleep in there.

I am a self employed race mechanic and struggle finding insurance that covers me at the circuit. I used to use Combined Insurance of America. Found them very good, when I broke my wrist playing football a few years ago they paid out from day one. Now Im back racing I will soon be using them again.
