To be honest a lot of the stuff i ride is all weather (lakes, wales etc) so i tend to stick to what i have all year which is 2.4 MK's or RQ 2.4's, should probably get some more summer'ery tyres but like to know what grip i have, instead of changing and finding out all over again?

I'm having exactly the same thoughts. I'm going to leave the decision till around 5, it drains pretty well up there so if it manages to stop for a few hours it'll be alright. Just have to be careful on the big bermed section! 😀

Racer (for fit sport, expert or elite riders), Weekend Warrior (new sponsor!) and Have-a-go-heroes for first time/inexperienced riders. We also have a new category for youth and juniors called lads and lasses.

We are having a look at the quarry this Sunday for course design if anybody has any requests/ideas or wants to come along?

mAx_hEadSet, totally agree, its just a matter of respect which i'm dissappointed to say seems to be lacking at certain if not most trail centres, but the more this is discussed the more it will be in peoples minds and hopefully a message will get through.

if funds allow surely? the design flaw also can be solved by trout on here too(if there indeed is one on every unit)? he's british?

it can't be ignored either that these lights are £50. £50. Thats 25% of the cost of a 'mainstream' manufacturer. Tbh if i'd known in time i would have seriously considered one of the trout lights, but i've seen of enough people who've had problems with various £200-300 lights to know that i'll take my chances and be a whore to the chinese export monster 😉

Ribble is massively road based obviously which is ok for getting cheap stuff but not somewhere i enjoy going into.

LL preston hasn't been reliable shall we say and merlin are only concerned with mail order, not face to face customer service.

haven't long been out of the industry, don't want to go back! ha ha

Blackburn and district (BAD) riders is another and blazing saddles over in Hebdurn Bridge (sp?) is yet another, i moved to preston just over a year ago and there's loads!

i'm part of the brownbacks team (www.brownbacksracing.co.uk) that organise an xc series near us too in Lee Quarry near Bacup. We have a specific womans category and if you need some tuition Ed Oxley on here does some skills courses! (home page right at the top)

Spreading rumours about this shop could put them out of business forever! Again i have nothing to do with the shop in question, in fact i'd never heard of it before now, but if this is a colossal mistake by the police, which i wouldn't be surprised at by the SDH thread, then it'd be a shame to put a shop out of business!

chap at Guisburn had one the other night which wasn't very old and still had play in it? no better than my maverick but then again it 25% of the price.

If Brant is reading this, we are waiting with baited breath to see if you can offer a solution to all the crap adjustable seatposts there area at the minute (including mine)
