Do these new rules apply to schemes that are already running? Mine started at the begining of this year. 🙄

I think its a quality venue that i'm lucky enough to be only 20-30 miles form. I'm ashamed of myself that i haven't been up to help 🙄

ran mine for a year also with no problems, i would take the advice about sealing the battery and then you'll be fine. Bargain.

a true inspiration to me and my mates in the mid nineties that always made us want to go that little bit faster. A great man.

yeah they both look really nice, i'm not getting a full bike but just the frame and forks. I'm going to transfer the rest off my ransom.

Vortexracing were you thinking of a mojo HD like? 😯

aww now you've got me thinking about that 🙄

yeah i know, i'm coming around to that idea. I'll see how they both ride and make a decision based on that. I reckon its worth about 1-1.5lbs to get the blur and not the nomad

Vortexracing – might do?! i'm going up saturday to have a chat, i'll have a little word and see what they say?

Pik n Mix – either a Blur LT carbon or Nomad carbon. My Ransom is due for replacement 😉

I've also had a number of failures, stitching on all of them and the apparent lack of water resistance of their so called 'water resistant' gloves (strike). I will vouch for their customer service however as they have been very good, but I wish they didn't go wrong!

It does get to the stage when you get sick of stuff going wrong and you just give up.

freezing it makes them prone to cracking however, i've had that when filling it before a ride and leaking all over the place. its just as easy to use tablets and get the brush, its not like the brush wears out!

I was skepticle abou the soapy water thing but it really does work. I had some michelin wilgripper'rs that just wouldn't go up, bit of soapy water around the bead and it went straight up, bit of a waste of time however as the tyres were s**te.

i haven't decided. I'm still trying to convince sam that i should get some new forks 8)

i think (if i can get it past the mrs) is either a fox 32/rev for the Blur or mojo or a new 2011 36 for the nomad. Chances are slim to none at the moment though! might be different if i sell the ransom/lyric combo.

I new you'd crack dave. I'm in the process of booking a test ride on a Blur LT, a Mojo and a Nomad. see which one feels best i guess. My head says stick to 140mm but the other part says stay at 160mm! 😆

would not buy any other brake, unless you're trying to build something incredibly light, buy these.

simon is right in that its much easier doing it west to east. I've done it both ways and it was significantly harder starting from the east with a heading for almost the entire way there.

The C2C is definitely the one to do and more than do-able in 3 days with bit of regular cycling.

I have the new saints on mine after replacing the XTR's that were on there, obviously a huge difference. But i'm glad i invested in the saints as they are truely fantastic. If i wasn't going to spend quite as much it would definately be XT's. Two of the lads i ride with have them and they are also extremely good.

*cough* i can handle my own on the technica stuff *cough* ha ha

This years course was great in comparison to the others that i've done there, also helped by the weather.

I was just looking for tips on which one to do next.

I've had a joplin 3 for 6 months (used literally 5 times) and its got loads of slack in. 2pure are being very good so far in trying to sort it out but i'm not impressed with the product, wait and see what we get sorted i guess 🙄

I can't be bothered to read all the posts on here, the first two pages were enough but i just can not believe that people are still debating that helmets are not a good idea. I totally agree that the fit and sizing of the helmet is criticle, and I get wound up by people cycling past with the helmet resting on the top of their neck but i know from personal experience that correctly fitted hemets SAVE LIVES. I have had two or three massive crashes (not bad in nearly 20 years mountain biking ) that have smashed/cracked helmets that without would have killed me. Thats not me being melodramatic. I'm all for looking at the facts of things and reasoned debate but to say that wearing a helmet is not going to reduce your chance of serious injury from head trauma is bordering on the ridiclous 🙄

Mine are cack too, i'd forgotten how much attention they need compared to the discs on my mtb (yes i know an obvious statement).

I think some cables and blocks are needed for mine, done over a 1000 miles on them though 😆

could have done with self leveling suspension on mine last week on the trip to the alps, some fatties in the back 😉

Interesting as my Octavia does around 50mpg normally and on the trip to the alps it did 40mpg with 4 people and all the gear with the bikes on the roof. I was thinking of getting a toe bar mounted thule one but i'm not so sure whether its worth it.
