cheers Ton, its good to hear some positive comments about bike shops, I’ve tried to add my two-pennith-worth about Stif too. I know some bike shops are crap but its always good to find a good one!

thats cack, he’s thinking of the other common fault that is when it wears the stantion coating off around the seal from poor sealing, which happened to my year old set of lyrics. Your issue is something seperate entirely.

Part of the problem is becuase men have been portrayed as agressors and instigators for so long that women are “rebelling” against that widely held view. Unfortunately its gone beyond balancing things out, so now men are now viewed as “perverts” when they chat up or admire a nice lady, whereas if a woman does it to a man, she is “empowered” or “expressing her sexuality”.
Until the hypocrysy and double standards are sorted, we will continue to be viewed as such.

    Yep

I think its an interesting thought provoking article and FWIW I agree with most if not all of it. But thats not the point, the point is to discuss and develope an answer within society, its doing that.

My 06 Plate Skoda Octavia did the same, but my kn@b head ex girlfriend now has that issue. Spring assistors were the way I was going to go, for the money they were worth a go.

In all seriousness I just got a cheap petrol run around after having a diesel. I’m really not sure what the benefits of a petrol car are becuase I can’t see them. They may be slightly cheaper to service but as for that a diesel (to me) is nicer to drive, easier to drive, more economical etc. If I was doing the same again i’d get a diesel.

Tolls are about £65 each way I think, If i was you i’d take the tunnel, much quicker and on the way back trust me thats what you want! Toof the ferry a couple of times and I hated it, tunnel is roll on roll off and takes 25 minutes, book in advance and you’ll get it for £100, well worth it for the time saving.

I’ve done it from Preston a few times and its about 1800 miles all in. I’d drive every time, I actually enjoy the drive, its all part of the holiday and you can take as much stuff as you like.

I had similar symptoms as you, then since my break up with the kn*b head ex and i’ve been drinking more the after effects have steadily got less. It comes down to tollerence I think, but the suggestion of drinking more water throughout the day you are going out is the best so far, other than either stop or drink little and often.

they’re fine, stick to the red signed path and you’ll be right. By all means have a look at the black but there are some drops that require some attention

yeah, because modern day sport of any type is not media driven is it…..

Look at Federer’s interview after he lost yesterday, calm, collected and full of sportsmanship for the chap who just battered him for three sets. It’s not jumping on the bandwaggon, its just my opinion.

Its dangerous as you’re asking what YOU should do, but your mate IMO should have a word with both his GF and the goon. There’s nothing wrong with saying how you feel and saying that you’re experiencing a bit of jealousy isn’t always a bad thing as it shows you care.

With the goon and I would talk calmy and firmly so that he expressly new how I was feeling about the situation. Then if it came to it i’d get the bombers out (sorry but I love this phrase now).

I still stand by (as others have said) that its a mine field to get involved with their relationship though, especially if you’re friends to both. I would really stay out of it unless you see/hear something, then you can get involved.

I’m sorry but I can’t stand the bloke, his whole attitude irritates me, just my opinion like but i turn the tv off when he’s playing.

Depends on the bloke but it would piss me off if someone who had baltent intentions of f***ing my girlfriend, but thats his problem to sort out not yours, sorry if that seems harsh but unless you see something while you’re out having a drink or whatever, your hands are tied. From your point of view i’d just keep saying what you’re saying and offer him level headed support and advice.

its not like I can’t drive the car, its more the frustration of not getting the sync between clutch and gas quite right. Its not like I get in the car and kangaroo up the road

If its a hydraulic clutch you can’t change where the bite point is, but you can adjust the pedal travel to make it feel in a better place for you.

    Interesting….. cheers

You took practice to get lazy, now you’ll take more practice to get less lazy

    excellent, cheers

Clutch bite point has nothing to do with the type of fuel.

I realise that, but diesels are ‘easier’ to drive in that you can be lazy with the gas pedal.

Guess its just practice as you say

I would definatley do it, i too took a pay cut with no sign with it returning to what it was, and my company too is still struggling. If I ws offered a way out like you I would have snapped there hand off.

Treat it like an extended break, do it for the 2 years you mention and you’ll have a bit of money in your sky rocket and it looks good on the cv re: experiance.

    Do it

I much prefer the tunnel, the ferry stunk of cig smoke and was generally really tatty, at least I can sit in my car mistening to my own music while relaxing on the tunnel. Considerable shorter journey time too (especially when the last time I was on the ferry it was stuck waiting to dock off shore for 45 mins!)
