Scentwork would probably be the most fun for him, starting indoors makes it easier anyway. And it’s something they enjoy doing, and you can carry on outside once he’s got the all clear.

Lots of websites and books out there.

Hi, sorry to hear about your wife’s experience. My wife is one of the Team Leaders of the Nottinghamshire Perinatal Community Mental Health team and they have a specialist service within that team who deal with specifically birth trauma, providing specialist psychological work for just that. I don’t know which are you both live in but it’s worth seeing if your local area also has this specialist service. I think it is part of the NHS long term investment plan under Maternal Mental Health so if the GP isn’t aware, there should be some information online. Additionally, you could also look for contact details for the Perinatal Community Mental Health team in your area and ask them directly what birth trauma support they have available as each area might be delivering this work slightly differently. The one in nottingham has been going since January and is seeing women quite quickly (within two weeks for the initial appointment) so hopefully it is the same where you guys are too. Wish you both the best though and I hope she is able to get the right support soon.

Yearly delurk. Looking at the orbitkey stuff above, does anyone know if they (or similar) will take a mortice key?

Would like something that stops jangling, and reduces scratching/catching on things, but have 1 mortice key that can’t easily be done away with.

    It’s not HMRC directly.

They outsourced they management of their buildings to Mapeley for 20 years. Without checking where they were based!

Private Eye have been banging on about it for years, but as they don’t do online here’s the guardian from 6 years ago:

I’m sure there is something he’s not telling you, although this does come to mind…

Overturned by appeals court anyway – http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/shropshire/6303427.stm

Have that bookmarked on phone if I ever need to prove that point again…..

Quick route from there, I’d drop to the 6007 through Waingroves to Ilkeston.

Then either up and over to trowell, and then straight in along Nottingham/Wollaton/Ilkeston Road, drops you at canning circus. (can miss the uphill DC section through Ilkeston by taking a long cut up the B6007 at the roundabout by Aldi and then back in on the 609)

Or turn left past tescos, down coronation road through Awsworth, under the 610, left on Gilt hill and then B600 through kimberley. At the 610 roundabout take your own preference for subway, crossings or just riding across to the onto Nottingham Road. Rejoin 610 at Nuthall island and follow it into town.

I’ve ridden both routes from Ilkeston and there’s nothing too bad on either. Though I tend to commute in before 07:30 and out before 17:00. And I’ve used the 6007 on the way back from the peak on quite a few occasions during busier hours.

    Delurking,

I’ve put ~4500 miles in on my Smartweld comp version since February. Including a particularly hilly 600km Welsh Audax. Also used as a daily commuter with a rack and panniers.

It’s been down canal towpaths, bridleways that google didn’t flag up and other bits and bobs with no problems (or at least none that wouldn’t disappear if I was a better offroad rider)

Bike is still completely standard. A couple of early season rides on rough country lanes sold me on the 30mm tyres.
