2 weary cyclists just gone past; but it wasn’t Richard, here he comes =1 now. Soon to hit yellow brick road.

He shot past with one support rider; now waiting outside Kiri Te Kanawa’s house to see him again & maybe follow. By eck they look fast & fresh.

I’m at Itford Hill, lots of offroad relay runners & no cyclists. Has he gone past already?

OK heading off shortly to meet him somewhere around Itford Hill.

    Ok, the graph has updated.

I do find hitting F5 very refreshing.

It looks to me that the Endomondo graph is not recording his current progress and that Richard’s still in Eastbourne.

Can anyone confirm that he’s still moving and what time he might hit Firle Beacon?

Glad you had a good experience with Ed, I don’t know Ed but I saw a recent video (with pints & tea & bikes) and ‘boy’ can he ride. He makes it look so effortless.

Great start for clipboard today & we may yet stay up; probably because the bottom 3 are so bad.

Hi Stu, I’ve got the BD1 in Medium and you can tighten (by an allen bolt) the swivel mechanism to make it tighter if you feel it’s too loose.

Infact – you could have my backpack for not much money as I don’t use it now – I’ve gone back to bottles and a saddle bag. It’s in pratically new condition and would be cheap option to see how you get on with it.

Drop me an email if you’re keen.

‘Pay per Lap’ is a good idea and this category (the Onederdog) at the Brighton BigDog does very well. And especially so in good weather.

Elfina is a great name. And also an anagram of Finale and I had a great 24 hour race there a while back, so mtb related too!

Hey Futon, it’s time we hooked up for a ride again (maybe in the North Downs), my mail addy is in my profile if you’re keen.

No good in the wet & useless in mud. Try Mountain Kings instead.

He’s a survivor alright and they’d better make sure that they have something better lined up if he does go.

Remember, when you see a man at the top of a mountain, he didn’t fall there.

Now that was a proper venue; thanks for the picture.
Btw Jesus Jones playing in London soon & a UK tour in 2012.

Sc-xc, you used to go to the original JB’s behind Pathfinder, up the road from the Lamp Tavern?
I used to go 3 weekends out 4, saw U2, Ruts, Tourists, Police, Bauhaus & everyone else there – great venue once you got past Jimmy the Con.

As for the Manics, huge fan, Clash spirit lives on.

    Happy Birthday Mark!

Great to see you and Megan looking so well on Saturday night – we’ll come over to you next time.
I hope you got back in time to rescue the pi55ing dog.

I hear that cake is very good for your specific condition; but only if consumed in Hattie Jacques size proportions.

Tazzy – thanks for the pre-race absinthe; that cleared the pipes and got my legs spinning. Did all 3 laps and could still taste it!

Sam – great little write up. That don’t half look like Jo in the Rolla picture. Don’t think I saw him there during the day..

Thanks to everyone. The hosting and company was terrific. Wolves lost 3-0 at home too and I almost didn’t care.

Bon chance all my Bullheart brothers – I’d be there if I wasn’t working on another (inferior) event.

Take care – hope to be racing with you again soon. Anyone racing at Oktoberfest?

Good luck to everyone at BBB; I’m with you in mind and spirit even though I’m working on BigDog. Gives me a great excuse to say ‘Clash’ anyway.

Best wishes to all my Bullheart brothers – hope to be racing with you again soon.

Hi Shaggie, fair play if it was you and you owned up. No worries, neither of us was in red as it happens,. It’s riding very well at the moment so getting ‘lost’ in the trail is understandable.

Back there again today to map out arena and some of the course. The forecast is set fair for the next few days. It will be hot, it will be dusty and you MUST bring all of the water you need with you.

BRING WATER BRING WATER BRING WATER (you get the idea where we’re going with that one..)

Rode it tonight, super fast & dry. The 2 steepish descents on the way up to Badgers are a little loose & sketchy, be careful there.

Anyone know who the sullen & uncommunicative rider on a spesh was with a blue / black long sleeve top tonight? If it’s you; it costs nothing to smile or say hi.

I’m planning to ride off road from Goshall and find a spot somewhere on the course – not necessarily at the top of Box Hill near to the cafe, which is where I assume the tickets are being issued for.

I’m sure there will be some vantage point to be had by popping out of an offroad trail somewhere.

Is there any way that Piers Morgan can be dragged into this sorry mess?
Would love to see that puffy smug face up before the beak.

He has a face I could never tire of punching.
