The grey ones look nicer, had two pairs, v tough. Good stuff. The new ones are black with yellow decals if ye did'nt know, just as good with a more 'sick' look. ahem

squin ….that was the tufftrax in yellow, my friend had one at the same time i had the traverse, although his is now chipped blue with yellow as it got nicked and 'disguised' with blue spray paint, but that did'nt stop him spotting it locked up outside the wheatsheaf in ealing about a 3rd of a mile from his house…he still has it!!

Had a traverse in lilac circa 1990, was the sh1t back in the day, black drive, black rims…pretty cool… so yeah, if ticked the right boxes at the correct time why not?

I think the 'brand' will be marketed with a more classy image this time round…we'll see.

Cycle Courier in london, has its moments for sure but overall v good fun, very interesting situations on occasion and keeps me well and truly in shape.

Makes me very aware of quite how mad a place london really is!

Just about to cook mine, sirloin, 1 inch thick left out to warm to roomish temp, pepper and salt both sides, v hot pan, ground nut oil, 1 min 45 tops depending – each side, probably less, rocket salad with parmisan shavings, thick cut chips with a dijon, garlic mayo…love it

Usually have two a week but have had 5 before now…man oh man
    soooo nice

and a bottle of excellent red naturally……

Champery: steep, mental and almost deserted at the beginning/end of season, lots of runs built by Ben Walker, who is mad, some crazy stuff. Mellow stuff too though.

    I recommend it.

Keep your 'personal' space just that. You must be very assertive whilst on the road, i use the road for the most part like a car,ie i take up the space i need to ensure i have plenty of space and that cars behind me will just have to wait until i see fit to move aside..if you get a beep or two…thats life, just ignore it, or make a piont and take even longer to get out the way.

Also hold your lines, deviation causes drivers to try and worm past you, if your line is solid it gives them a much clearer indication of where you are going….could go on but won't.

This is all in london and it works very well for me.

Just bust a spring on mine, i have been using them for all riding including courier duties…lets say they've done 13/15000 miles at a guess, one rebuild kit only in that time (they are acids btw) got them from merlin for 35 quid…so all in pleased with them…bought a pair of smarty's of ebay for 25 quid with cleats so will use them for a bit then remove the spring and fix the acids, so..two spare springs and some cleats and pedals to use to boot…still prefere them over anything else as you can rebiuld the lot, my experiences with spds are not to clever….
