As a london courier, this happens everyday single day without fail (hit two people only in 4 1/2 years, both slow as i knew it was bound to be the case on oxford st), idiots the lot of them and have seen the results of when it is a bus and not a bike, unpleasent viewing. Some people just don't consider how dangerous a position they are putting themselves in and some learn the hard way..serves them right as far as i'm conserned.
Keeps me on my toes though, today was mayhem going home down oxford st, good fun though…in a way.

They are a frankly bizarre device, nasty, reeking waste of time. If one requires a nice ambient smell, burn some insence.

We use a dishwasher, it's more economical when full than doing the washing up by hand for 4 people constantly, as for tumble driers, used when dry clothes are required fast, not a regular thing.

If I was you I'd talk to a bike shop about getting some enthusiastic facing of the headtube done. Not sure if this is viable but could they remove any material without weakening eveything, is the headtube butted?

In some cases, if there is enough metal about, i don't see why this would'nt work…take material off the top as much as can be done so as not to upset the angles and take it from there, if the frame allows, should be no probs…considering it myself on an old kona frame.

I use a screwdriver through the hole, hit with a rubber mallet. Use one with a chunky handle but not so large as to cover the fangles, installed loads this way and works for me.
