I was using some donny tennis shoes from Sports direct, they worked really well, and only cost me 7.50 in a sale. Black with a white sole.

They held up well and were cheap as chips, so I would echo the above advice.

The big clue may be in the name though. Electric assisted pedal cycles.

That in itself implies the motor is used to assist and not power by itself.

Thats ok then. Because e bike motors assist the rider. They dont solely power the bike.

Meekly move over at the time. Then later make a rant directed at someone who in all probability will never see it.

    Got to love STW

Oh and did you get a good look at the womans gash?

    Sounds like a stupid design.

Can you not just pop out the adapters, fit the rotor, then refit the axle adapters?

So he crashed, and that caused his bike to break? Could happen to anyone.

Thats what i thought as well.

Fair enough. I don’t have the tools to do that so will just carry on as is.

I thought you meant using the barrel end of a road gear cable.

    Nice one. Much appreciated.

Joe the brand x post uses a teeny weeny grub screw in a separate cable barrel inside the end of the post. It’s the same shape and size as a standard cable end so the idea I think is that the bontrager ‘hack’ simply has you using the proper barrel in the post and the new lever grub screw is holding the cable directly in the lever probably with a decent sized screw

Without removing my post i think they are different in size, but would be interested in this as well.

If anyone does the above please post and let us know.

I added some to the frame and forks myself, with small touches elsewhere.

Grips, headset spacer, valve caps, and some on the saddle in this pic, and pedal end caps.

Looks awesome. Not sure if I have missed it or not, is it staying raw?

Front triangle reminds me of Raleigh dynatech which i always liked back in the day.

I angle mine so the rise of the bar is inline with the angle of the headtube when viewed from the side.

Always feels right in that position for me even with different uo and back sweep bars.

Is it broken? Looks ridiculous imo, and not good for the forks either.

Non adjustable. However you can control the speed up with good control of the remote.

I have had several sets of Deores on different bikes and had no problems with calipers rotors or pads.

    Lucky?

I would have just checked the cassette tbh.

    And you were being one.

So its sitting on a bike at home and you still dont have your answer.

It could have been sitting in a bucket at home and you would have your answer when you got back.

Numpty. sorry that was out of order. But someones grumpy. Sunderland fan perhaps.

And you could have watched football with the cassette in a bucket.

I did notice the weight but it wasnt a major thing, and found it offset by the extra traction. I have now beaten times on climbs that i originally did on the hardtail.

I had an On One 45650b which rode very well in my opinion. I purchased a second hand Vitus Escarpe frame on Pinkbike and transferred all the parts.

Only things i needed were adaptors for the rear hub and a different sized seatpost. The other thing was the rear brake hose wasnt long enough for the new frame.

What i liked about the 135mm travel is that it feels closer to a hardtail than i imagine a longer travel frame would. Although i havent ridden any of the current crop of 150/160mm Trail frames.

Transferring the parts was painless and didnt take long. First ride out i was amazed the difference it made and the extra speed i could hit things at. The bike is also really quiet which is nice. Just the noise of tyres, freewheel and me struggling to breathe.

Now running a Blackspire which seems very good.

Just measured mine. The actual part you put your foot on is 101 x 101. The 110 is only true if ypu measure from one edge of the parallelogram shape to the other, but is not useable 110mm if that makes sense.

I have a specialized keg. A 27.5 tube will not fit inside it if you want anything else in there.
