XT or Saint.  Both use bearings I believe and so feel better than SLX down.

    Am I having deja vu?

This reads almost exactly like a thread last year or the year before?  Or am I imagining things?

Never mind. Have just discovered that i have been using the strap wrong.

Mounting it the correct way and it fits fine.  That’s a nice cheap solution.

Well it’s arrived and fitted with a wolftooth lever.

Feels spongy to operate and it has some rotational play at the saddle.  Doesn’t feel better than either of the brand x droppers did when brand new.  Time will tell .

I say hopefully, as the courier is Hermes

Having had Sunrace for my last two cassettes, the expensive and cheaper 10 speed 11 to 42 cassettes, I have just fitted a Shimano hg500.

The shifting is definitely better with the Shimano.  Not much in it but it’s better.

For the 27.5 I didn’t see that. It mentions they come in different options.

There is no option to choose on the Arch S1 other than the freehub . So how do I know of I am getting boost or non boost?

I just order some for that price delivered on eBay.

The nose of the saddle moves about 10 degrees to each side from pointing straight ahead.  The play is very loose too.  I can feel it when i stand up as the saddle moves about going over bumps.

Once the One up arrives the brand x will be going back under warranty.

I have a set of Salsa 11 deg  bars in good nick if you are interested.  They were too low rise for me and my shifters would hit the top tube.

Just ordered one to replace an external Brand X with loads of rotational play, which was a replacement for an internal brand x which freaked like a bastardo.

    Fingers crossed.

Just looked. It says 10 to 16 nm on mine

Off the top of my head it’s 12 to 15 nm .

I am pretty sure it’s written on my rear axle.  Will double check for you.

I am lucky enough that my daily commute of 22 miles includes a decent amount of offloading so am getting some riding in every day.  It just makes the day at work drag as I am looking forward to the ride home so much.

Loved the JPS cars and bikes.

That’s very nice. I was very impressed by the quality of the Cotic BFE frame when i got it. The frames are just lovely.

I did similar to you with some rhyno tape from eBay which came to about 13. Can’t see it’s on there and seems good so will see how long it lasts.

The build looks very nice and it all goes together well.

Was going to say I have a very good condition set of black Haven alloy bars 740 (or might be 750) width.

So have now had a couple of rides on this and have to say I love it.  It descends so quickly and holds speed. Despite being longer than the bike it replaced it feels more agile and it climbs way better than you would think.

The Yari forks are creaking like an old door so they are going to be replaced with Mattoc Pros and sent off for warranty.

    @joebristol

Are you running the DHF widetrail on the 25mm internal rim. If so, any problems with drag or shoulder tread being in wrong place?

    All done. I love it

I intend to. First impressions are it climbs better than you think it might. It also has a lively feel to the frame.

People say A2C is the deciding factor.  However I think there is perhaps more to it. Perhaps stresses when using longer travel.   For example this is on Cotics warranty page

Note: Fork compatibility is defined by travel not length. We understand that some manufacturers forks are shorter in height than others, but this is irrelevant. If you run forks with longer travel than we have stated for a given frame, warranty is void and likelihood of damage or failure of the frame is high.

I know that may just be there opinion. But it must come from something

Can’t comment on the Solaris max, but having just bought a Cotic frame I am so impressed by it. It’s lovely.  I don’t think you would regret it.

Is it the hanger on this link you need?

If so, I have a couple of them.

Just going through the pain of making helitape stencils at the moment

I have tried the shoulder exercises but I am bad foe not keeping them up.

    Going to have Yari Fork

Carbon bars with hopefully a joystick builder stem,

    Raceface cranks, 1 x 10 sunrace/six drivetrain

    Deore m615 brakes

    Brand x dropper, Sdg saddle.

Ryde rims on superstar hubs with Bontrager and Maxxis tyres just now.

Going to helitape the frame tomorrow and build it up on Sunday.

    Medium.

Unfortunately the seatube on the large was marginal for a dropper post for me.

It’s still got longer reach than what I am changing from so it’s all good.  TBH with the much longer reach bikes I find I get a lot of pain in my left shoulder (which had had multiple dislocations and ligament damage in the past)

As it’s Friday it would be rude not to I guess
