I just banged a black Raceface N/w on my older Slx. Close enough match to not worry about it.

Some hipster **** will pay £300 for that if you upsell it a bit as a classic to turn into a trendy fixie/ss.

I think the 56mph comes from the fact a lot of HGVs are fitted with a speed limiter. You see them with stickers saying irs limited to 56mph.

    Shouldnt leave any ambiguity.

If you dont know what the sign signifies, for the road you are on, and the vehicle you are in, there is an argument that perhaps you shouldnt be driving.

    Sounds strange.

Where is the compression dial set at?

    Bit more of an update.

I am defintely pedalling smoother with the spds on the mtb than with the flats. I always span well on the road bike, but didnt realise how choppy it was on the mtb until I changed.

Its easy to clip in and out, and on the couple of occasions where i have tested pedalling without clipping, its been ok, and would probably be even better with a skate/bmx style clipless shoe.

The M065 shoes i have are pretty comfy. Ordered a 45 as opposed to my normal 44 and they fit just right. The only niggle/s i have are:

The cleat can still be felt contacting the ground when walking, and feels as though it could be potentially dangerous on wet rock.
The top of the tongue digs into my ankle a bit. This couldbe solved by trimming it a little, but I am going to see if it softens up and digs in less.

All in all, pleased with my purchase, but will keep the flats just in case.

Pah, go up a proper mountain, take some cordial in a small bottle. Plenty of ice to make a fresh slushi.

Another vote for A cycles, my high roller 2 and ardent in 27.5 were cheaper than anywhere in Uk at the time, even with the delivery charge.

My shoes and pedals arrived today. Was planning on a long ride but its now pissing it down here (what heatwave?), so will give some opinion in a few days.

First impressions are good though with the pedals nice and easy to clip into with the mo65 shoes. Definitely not as slippy as road SPD sl.

Orange coloured bike and goggles needed. You simply aren’t enduro enough.

From what i have read on here….. hooray. Nice that you have found a bike you like.

Improve your skills and getting round the switchback should become achievable too.

Do they still have the north shore stuff at Fochabers?

Dont get a pair of fox racing reflex gels. Pair have lasted 180 miles, with the fingers splitting down the sides.

Waiting on CRCs reply regarding this extremely short lifespan.

Go with her for thd valuation. Then when they say its worth over £400 and she decides she might like it after all, tell her she can, but for the value the bike shop placed on it.

    Shouldnt be difficult at all.

I built up an on one 45650b for 1000, with all new parts, by shopping around and its decent spec. Frame cost 150.

Answer, truvativ and crank bros finishing kit. Sektor gold solo air fork, deore m615 brakes, slx, zee, raceface 1 x 10 with XT shifter, Maxxis tyres and superstar wheels.

So 870 for parts should be doable.

Having said that, it will all be a waste if you dont know what size to get. Are you sure you want one of these, as only yesterday i was reading your thread about the Bird Aeris.

@drac i was originally referring to jools video he posted.

Even in yours every round is not a tracer. The gaps in the tracers are non tracer rounds which you obviously can not see.

    nairnster

Thats not a great example to compare, as quite clearly every round is not a tracer in your video, so naturally looks different.

    nairnster

Lol, as posted, the tracers arent the unrealistic part.

    nairnster

I think during Ww2 the us army used a ratio of 4:1 in their tanks so every 5th round was a tracer.

I also remember hearing something that at the time the film was set, the 75mm guns on the m4 sherman actually used a tracer on every anti tank round.

Are those fork decals are on the incorrect legs ?
