I love mine. First rode one at the bike show in 2016 and of all the bikes i rode it was my favorite. When my mate decided to sell his Onza frame i bought it and buolt it up. Great to ride with 120mm forks.

It was going so well. In my last update on Friday i commented on feeling under the weather, little did i know what was to follow. Without being too graphic ive become rather well acquainted with the upstairs and downstairs toilets since Friday night until today. 5lbs lighter and feeling a good bit better i might get out on the onza for a quick ride tonight. Hopefully ill be able to get back into the challenge without interruption this time.

I’ve managed today but only just. Got a few days off work but I needed to put some money in the bank. Instead of driving right to the bank I parked down the high street, went to the bank and then continued walking. It was then I realised what a dump West Bromwich town centre is. I’ll walk a different way next time or ride there and head into Sandwell Valley.

Raining after work tonight and I fancied a walk not the trainer. Worked out well as on my way back and just at the top of the street I found £20. Bullseye!

I’m so pleased that you posted about this 100 day challenge. I needed a reason to ride again. I rode 192 days consecutively last year and nearly killed myself in the process as I put in some pretty epic efforts. I lost 2.5 st and felt great, until I didnt. Then my riding fell off a cliff along with my fitness and I’ve put 3.5 st on.
So we’re 2 weeks into this and I’m really enjoying it. Ive even bought an old turbo out of retirement and I’m doing my sessions on that when the weathers as dog as it is tonight. Whats more my mental health is improving too. I actually feel my mood lift as I’m riding. Physical health, mental health, its a win win for me.

Our Costas here are quite decent, but all i drink is black coffee, nothing fancy pants.
Must say I prefer Coffee#1 by a Black Country mile though.

THe weather forced me into taking drastic action today. I couldnt work (I’m a window cleaner), so after doing a few errands I dug an old turbo trainer out of the shed and went hell for leather on it for 30 minutes while listening to Magi radio. 30 minutes is 30 m inutes right?

Well done everyone getting wk 1 out the way. My weeks been a mix of riding and fast walking. Fast walking for me is 1.7 miles in 30 minutes.
Im.enjoying the challenge though. Keep it up everyone, youre doing great!

5 days in and already I feel so much better physically and mentally too.
Only rides so far, tomorrow may be a brisk walk/jog (think koush to 5k), but after 12 months of relative inactivity this is what I need.

Ridden Sandyfields and all the routes from K’winford up many times, just not recently..lol.

Also, I’m probably riding to Presteigne in August so those routes up through Cleobury Mortimer to Tenbury Wells and Little Hereford will get a ride after the Snowdonia trip.

Some good suggestions there reminding me of areas I’ve ridden in the last 2 or 3 years.

I get radio interference when I plug my dashcam into the cigarette lighter. Any ideas?

I dont know the answer to your question but I’d imagine the guys at Clee Cycles in Bridgnorth or Pearce Cycles will know. I was at the opening of the trails there a few years ago and Ive ridden there since but not recently.

Well this has opened up a can of worms really. It’s funny how you think things will never happen to you. Like many I’ve used cheaper battery packs for years and had no.problems, this will make me think twice though.

I’ve contacted the seller well see if I get a reply. If not then it’s paypal and trading standards.

I thought I’d replied to this yesterday with a few more details.

tyres are 28c run at 95psi, the innertube ‘blew’ nowhere near the valve and wasn’t near a previous repair.

I know Pete from back home in the Black Country and a nicer chap you couldn’t wish to meet.

I hadn’t been in contact with him much since he moved to uni in Scotland so reading the op has left me in shock tbh. He’s certainly someone that I’d raise some money for in any way I could/can.

Certainly a worthy cause.

Also just seen that PC Hudson and Hudson have received an award for their work in this area from Birmingham City Council.

I used WMP new portal to try and report a close pass a month or two ago which was caught on camera. I emailed them but have had no reply.
Last week I signed up for Twitter after another incident. Tweeted WMP and have had no reply.
I think the close pass initiative would be fantastic if it was clear how to make a complaint. Atm it seems to me it’s all about good publicity for WMP, nothing else.
