Pairs or team for me and also on my Kinesis Sync which should be better than my 32lb full susser from last year! If the organisers read this can we PLEASE HAVE THE OLD COURSE BACK or something more techy and fun than last year!

Mboy great to hear your thoughts! It’s my 1st Ti bike and i’ve not heard of the ‘flat back tyre’ feel before but that’s exactly what i felt on my first few rides! Also agree on the power transfer when you put your foot down it goes! Coming from a heavy full susser i’m loving being able to stand up and pedal and have just put my reverb on as was desperately missing it in the Surrey hills. Hoping to do forest of dean on it next month which will be it’s first trail center outing. Can’t wait!

Just searched for this thread to get myself some reminders for a good read for my hol next week. Have ordered Pretty little horses and Swan Song which was tough to track down in print! Selling for £30 odd quid 2nd hand on Amazon but found myself a sneaky copy for £3.70 on ebay. Do love a good apocalyptic story especially when on a beach!

My Eastway which is my 1st bike of road type. Nothing too fancy but does the job.

I built up an Ariel 14x, although this is my 1st full suss so I can’t compare it to anything. It is brilliant, smooth and fun for trail centers and anything in the down hill direction but is hard work and heavy on the ups. It has developed a noisy linkage system after a year which I need to get sorted!

Met my other half on Pof and we’re about to buy a house together. 2 very happy singletrackers here! Don’t give up the hunt..it’s hard work but it can pay off!

100 gets me a 2 hour meeting to go through everything and double check. Fill out my tax return and the complicated bits like depreciation which I haven’t the desire to learn myself and produce a profit and loss statement etc I also have an employee btw. The accountant is very thorough and by the book so I’ve not had the hassle of being audited in 8 years and I always know how much my tax bill will be so no nasty suprises. Worth 100 quid a year!

Accountant does it for me. 100 quid a year and I use free accounting software to keep the accounts up to date so he just logs on and does my return using the data from that.

Brighton! It’s brilliant. I’ve lived in Reading, Newbury and Bristol and none of them come close. Loads of culture, great pubs, great food, night life and lovely countryside and good cycling scene. Only downside is it’s ba long way to travel to proper mountains and it’s expensive for accommodation.

Just in time to enjoy the mud! I’ve found my Sync is making a very good road bike at the mo, actually weighs less than my road bike, and I did 48 miles of wet, mucky country lanes on it last weekend and am in love with it. Can see my other bikes being quite neglected! Enjoy it Mboy!

Not at all! I have a 30t ring and it’s much easier than my previous 2 by 10 set up. Am loving having an easy gear to fall back on and its not making me lazy it’s allowing me to keep pedaling up stuff I would have pushed up.

Hmmm…I’ve already found the tenants though and they are coming in a few days so don’t really have time to or desire to use an agent. No tips on what to ask? I will definitely be using a bit of good old guy instinct though!

I read it a few years ago in one sitting also as couldn’t put it down. Still one of the most memorable books I’ve read and the film is good but I just think when you read an amazing book the film can’t come close. Haven’t read a good book in ages..need some suggestions!

Up till 7am with non biking friends. Don’t seem able to cope with the aftermath these days so won’t be leaving the house today. Already planning next NYE, nice chilled dinner party with bikie mates and ride new years day.

I’ve just gone up to 730’s. I was worried about clipping my bars in the tight singletrack round here but not had a prob so far and really like the extra control it gives.

Must say I’m loving the 11 spd…not missed any gears and loving the granny ring for steep bits. Suprised as I thought I would miss being able to drop a load of gears in one.

4 year old, Black lab, she is mad for biking. Goes crazy when i get the bike out. Have done about 15 miles or so but she had a injury so am limiting her to about 8 miles now. She is very quick so is usually up front and knows to keep out of the way. She was trained from a young age to do her business off the path in the woods and will fire one out near the start of the ride as she hates to be left behind for a second. When on a ride she is not interested in anything but running the trail. Other dogs, livestock, normally inticing piles of dung are merely something to be ignored when she is in ‘Trail mode’

I don’t have kids but I’m reading this to get inspiration for my lunch box. Currently I have a banana, nutrigrain bar, probioctic drink, wholemeal bagel with veggi burger, salad and humous, walkers baked crisps and a small choc biscuit. Do like the idea of sushi though!
