3 episodes into After life and I think it’s the best comedy I’ve seen in many years. Almost comparable to peep show and spaced but maybe that’s just because I’ve not found a comedy that I like for so long. I love the contrast of the silly humour with the sad and dark moments. I personally thought the drug taking scenes were extremely well done and very realistic and thought provoking about how people use drugs and can become dependent and things can spiral.

Well watched this back to back last night and I was completely convinced by it up until the point where he mentioned suing and money. Why on earth if he wanted to convince people and do it for purposes of healing and getting the truth out for the sake of others that had gone through this did he bring money into it which just gives any defence /media/fans the ammunition to say he’s just doing it for money. He could have just given all the info to media outlets and police and refused any kind of money for interviews or documentaries and certain not pursued money from the Jackson family. Why would he want any connection to them after everything that happened and everything his family were already bought off with? I’m now just really confused and unsettled as I’d rather believe their story than believe that both those men could speak about all that stuff in such a genuine and upsetting way if it was all made up to get money.

Yes that sounds different from sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is your mind becoming conscious while the body is still asleep so you are in your bedroom not in a dream sequence that’s why it’s really scary as even after it ends you know it wasn’t just a dream. The bull dozer episode sounds the opposite of sleep paralysis as you have physically acted out your dream.

It was pretty scary but I think because I eventually realised what it was on some level I wasn’t too panicked. I read that feeling like you are suffocating is because you can’t control the depth of your breathing. Your breathing muscles are still working but you breath quite shallowly when in rem sleep.

I have quite a few times. Funny you say you were flat on your back, as now you have said that I realise this is position I am in when I get it.

From some of the reading I did this morning it’s apparently more common if you fall asleep on your back.

Tell your wife to look at sleep paralysis on the NHS website. It’s a well known and studied phenomenon but in it’s most full on experience may only be experienced by about 7% of the population. It is part of the bodies process to be paralysed when entering rem sleep so that you don’t act out your dreams and the brain releases gabba and glycine to cause this but your mind is meant to be unconscious when this happens. I found it fascinating as I’m interested in how the body and mind work and it felt so powerful and physical it was like being on some strong drug and I can see why some people would be very disturbed by it and look for a deeper meaning if they didn’t understand the science behind it.

After reading on some lucid dreams forums I think I might give it go and try to actively enter into a lucid dream although it may be extremely hit or miss some people seem to suggest you can train yourself into it.

Edit I can’t even master the quote function so lucid dreaming seems unlikely!

No advice particularly but I have a student doing the exact same thing. Signed up for 12 months but leaving early when his course finishes. Can’t be bothered to pursue as it lets easily but worth noting for future risk.

Not quite the same but as a child I was made to have various dental surgeries and braces to correct my sticky out teeth. I raged against the uncomfortable braces and can still remember crying when first trying to eat my bribery favourite dinner of chicken kebab with the braces in but I got used to them and as I grew to be older and care about such things as appearance I was glad that my mum made me have them. I wish apperance made no difference in this world and to some maybe it doesn’t but it can be tough to stand out.

In my experience it won’t show much difference to your own walk as the GPS won’t pick up lots of small back and forth runs just the general direction they are travelling. Just strap your garmin or whatever to the dog if you still want to try. I did this myself. More interesting was seeing whenre and when the cat went at night.

I went for a little play on the bike. It was slow going in the fresh deep snow but the compacted snow on some fire roads and lanes was great to ride on. I had much fun on a long straight downhill getting up as much speed as possible and then jamming my rear brake on and seeing how far I could slide. Big kid.

Whilst I agree that circumcision shouldn’t be done to children but only concenting adults it really doesn’t compare in it’s reasons for being done or the brutal effects that it has on the person.

I have a very simple weather station like that and an extra probe. Right now it’s 19 degrees and 53 humidity in my living room and the probe is reading 4.8 and 80% humidity in my fridge.
Bit off topic but was interested to see that thus morning all my windows were frosted up on the outside so I couldn’t really see out apart from near the frames but none of my neighbours windows were like this. Is that due to my triple glazing?

The password for my email is different from other less important accounts and changes not that long ago. I guess they have got a contact list at some point somehow. The emails I get look like it’s from Sophie for example when you glance at inbox but if you click to see full address it’s Sophie@ghyyhddbnj124789553.com not just generic names though some more unique ones that can’t be a coincidence. I am pretty careful with checking things like this because I’m self employed and have heard about the scams intercepting invoices.

It works though. I used to get mould in corners, behind chest of draw and water would stream down windows and bedroom wall now nothing, dry as a bone even on the windows. It works even with internal doors closed as they are not air tight so we can be sleeping in bedroom with door closed all night and wake up with no condensation.

So decided my next small step will be to double the size of my raised veg patch so I can grow more of my own veg so avoiding supermarket plastic and food miles. It has the added bonus of helping to guard against Brexshit food shortages too!
