Thanks TuckerUK, I did consider the grade 10 chrome balls but wasn’t sure if it would be better to have stainless and if te egrade difference would be significant in hubs?

The Portugese introduced chillies to India from South America.

I immediatly reported it to my insurance company (Admiral) and told them that the 3rd party had said they would like to not go through the insurance. Insurance company noted that and contacted the other parties insurance company anyway.

I went and got a quote for the work and sent that to the other person. They said they’d pay it if I sent them the receipt. I trusted them and did so as I had their contact details and if necessary I could chase them (the personalised number plate on their brand new range rover gave them away as being a localish oil and coal merchants wife) and I think the insurance company had said they would follow it up if necessary too.

The cheque from her husbands company came through a couple of days after I posted them a copy of the invoice and I told the insurance company it was settled.

Hasn’t had any affect on the insurance company chasing another claim for me a few months later when some Italian tourists reversed into me at a junction 🙄

What about a Spanish E2E? Fly to the south, ride north. Ferry home?

That’s prety much what I did except it was; ferry to Santander (a slight cheat with a train to Reinosa) then all the way to the Med on the trail. Met lovely people, even though I barely had a word of Spanish, drank some lovely wine and ate loads 🙂 Then flew home after a couple of days in Barca to chill/party.

Can bore you with a slide show in June if you like 😆

Can be done relatively cheaply too – Don Simon will do you a litre of drinkable vino tinto for 1 euro, or you can splash out and spend 3 on a bottle something nice! – Mogrim and don simon may disagree with my definition of ‘drinkable’ and ‘nice’ 🙂

I have no idea what you could have on your mind that could in any way be more important than building a (gorgeous ti) bike, you’d think you were getting married or something 🙄

He’s serious! 🙂 – London to Istanbul in November!

If you don’t fancy dodging pilgrims all day i did the Camino Natural del Ebro (GR99) last year and it was fantastic. Took about 14days riding although you could take it slower and enjoy more Rioja! Maps and guide book (only available in Spanish) available from Stanfords[/url]

I’m hoping a friends FB post about a 2000mile tour in Oct/Nov was serious!

I always send my (Animal) watch back to Animal, that way if it leaks it’s their fault and they’ll waranty it. Don’t think it cost as much as that though.

All depends on what the watch is worth and if you wear it for (water) sports or not.

Are you at a computer all day? Have you had a workstation assessment?

Could well be from using the mouse. Something simple like a wrist support on teh mouse pad may be enough or a tracker ball rather than a traditional mouse. Maybe your desk/ screen are at the wrong height or your mouse is just too close/far away from you causing you to lean on your arm?

Don’t ignore it and get an assessment done. I’m sure there will be a basic version you can do yourself online if you don’t have a H&S person who will do it/ arrange for it to get done.

Monster don’t make the hats themselves, they will just licence people to use it – unlike Red Bull, Monster love people paying to be a billboard for them! 😆 – so there will most likley be more than one make of cap with the Monster logo.

freestylextreme are ok, I’ve bought something from them in the past, although I can’t for the life of me remember what…

My car, leased through work, has a year to go on the lease and they have stopped the lease scheme. I think I will hand it back at the end of the lease and maybe even get myself a cargo bike.

That’ll be the best part of £200/month in my pocket just from the lease and tax.

I’m sure I’ll miss it for a while but then again, I do use public transport a lot already and am happy to do so and most of the further afield bike trips are done in friends cars as they’re estates and are already set up for 3 or 4 bikes on the roof.

If I really do struggle without it I’ll look at getting a van again.

Who built the forks (as in put them together), who serviced them, were they factory fresh or had they been ragged for a season and left to rot over winter?

Have they broken or just dismantled themselves, I can’t see from the picture?

In case you haven’t noticed; a MX bike is a significantly different beast to a mountain bike and I’ve seen broken skis and faulty bindings in top level ski races (on the tellybox).

Have you checked with the ctc’s insurance partner? I think i used them last year, albeit for less thn 90 days, as they include repatriating yor kit in teh cover. You don’t have to be a ctc member. The BMC’s insurance loked pretty good too, but were more expensive for me once BMC membership had been included, needed to get a discount.

davidtaylforth – I meant that made it ‘cool’.

Weirdly, now you mention it, the bmx is the bike I’m most likley to ride gloveless yet most frequently slam my hands on the deck from… even when JRA, i really need to give that thing away!

I’ll stick up for 2pure too. Especially as they are happy to deal direct with customers for support and repairs which should really go through the shop you bought it from. Always been a great help to me and if it’s a toss up between two products and one comes through them it would be enough to sway my descision.

Maybe you’ve just caught them at a busy time. I’m sure they’ll see you right.

I used to feel naked without gloves on on the bike, same with glasses, but am more used to it these days and mix and match. I like my gloves with a minimal palm anyway.

I do find they protect your hands, I’ve only had a gloves rip a couple of times and even then my hands probably came out better than they would have without the gloves in the first place.

Is it what all the cool kids do then?

Yup! – I think the Antipodean DHers started it, along with no body armour.
