    There does always seem to be more aggressive sales techniques on other forums – SDH and Pinkbike esp.{NO OFFERS NO PMS TXT ME YOU MISERABLE TIT SHOULD YOU EVEN CONSIDER BUYING MY BIKE I'LL COME ROUND AND SEE IF YOU'RE MAN ENOUGH- CAAAANNT!!!}

And if you think the text speak on Bike Radar is bad, you should try pinkbike – every single bike or frame posted is met within three minutes with a "Wud u swop 4 my Stinky dood?" or the classic "I giv you £80 birthday cash and £15 a week for 5 years" – actually no wonder the OP gets a bit humpty…

My wife as her A3 done last week – no problems at all…so it was free. As in free, no costs involved.

Volunteer Arms, Musselburgh. Commonly known as Stagg's.

I don't hold truck with the notion that a decent pub must serve food. Stagg's doesn't but does sell Seabrook crisps and they are ACE! and they permit you to take take away food in to eat if you so desire.

Oh and those Morrisons ads with Hammond. Someone needs to tell him to sort his **** hair out. Accident or not, some things are just wrong.

That **** fox on the online bingo adverts does my nut in.

Phil Tufnell on any advert, Carol Vordrman, Winner, Fern Britten, and that annoying one for Ch4 on Demand with all the celebs – I wouldn't let that slag Jordan in my house never mind give in to her demands to "put the kettle on then"!!! HATE "Celebrity" endorsement!!!!

I did think you{Grynch} just really really liked going on holiday there…

Obviously I like sport and sports bars but not really my wife's thing. Both love seafood so any particular place to recommend would be great, avoiding crappy rip-off places is always a bonus.

Looked at a couple of hotels mentioned above, looking good so far. Thanks for all suggestions.

2 adults, on holiday so sightseeing/bars and restaraunts, no car, no fixed budget though ideally not at mega cheap OR super-expensive ends of spectrum…

I was thinking 30 quid so perhaps not too far off. Is a healthy jump but how long's it been at its current price? If he just put them up to 25 last year he's at it, if it's been that amount for few years he's back dated it! Probably been scared to ask cos you're too nice with the tea and biscuits!

Couple of mates have done exactly as you're thinking of. As previously mentioned they're sold after 30 hires, and both bikes have been great. No problems with jetwash damage to drivetrain. One of these mates has recently upgraded to a much more expensive bike as the sport has gotten under his skin – so be prepared!

Jackthelad you'll quickly come to realise that as soon as someone posts something positive on here there'll be a few on straight away to argue the exact opposite or at least find every possible negative! Never let lack of first-hand experience of a subject stand in the way of a good moan. Having said that you will find the most obscure answers on here, enjoy mountain bikes Jackthelad, and enjoy the forum and don't get caught up with all the moaning!

Ok well they're soaking now, and the one that was seized came unstuck almost immediately. So an update will follow tomorrow…

Ok so after soaking in degreaser, what to do rinse this off? As I'd have thought taking the hose to it would only force more moisture in there?

Well I've just joined the "We love Graham from Lidl, Musselburgh!" group. Honstly anyone in east Edinburgh/Porty/Joppa/East Lothian should go along and bask in his retail assistance excellence. Puts the gruntinf ignorant morons from Tesco to shame…

i'm joining that Mika group as well…

Tell you what, after 1min 17 of this game, Brian Moore ahould not be on the telly. He would hav spoilt ven that last ten minutes in Cardiff. Long-winded, splutterring, overly technical, obviously biased and generally irritating.

THERE ARE ALWAYS TWO TEAMS IN A GAME OF RUGBY.

I'm not sure about this kicking into touch, I think the ref would have blown a pen had they deliberately kicked to touch, like deliberately throwing the ball out of play, we need a ref to confirm.

Nah, would have been scrum to Wales or kick again. Different from handling in straight into touch. After all, did Jones not spend most of the match kicking it deliberately into touch, as his team were toiling?

BTW just saw replay of Godman incident for first time. Think Byrne went down like a Prem footballer{well he has got the fake tan and haircut} with no contact.

AA and CFH can crow all they like but no other team in this championship would crumble like that against a distinctly average Wales team. And most refs would wilt under pressure from that Cardiff crowd, but that clown's interpretations of the scrum rules, and the Godman incident was a joke. Wales ar sh1te but won. Well done, now let's watch this game and shut up about fricking Wales…

If you've already paid for it all just keep it? But if your selling advertise on Ebay, cos folk always seem to get caught up and pay more. Or they do when I think I'm in for a bargain. But then you've got to think of fees too.

    Good luck.

TBH it's about blimmin' time someone made a stand for washing the bike down in the garden. If we don't make a stand, who will?

And Pook, that wall above has a worrying amount of what look like bullet marks in? Someone been carrying out summary executions round your way? I'm not prepard to make that much of a stand, quite frankly.

I've been trying to ignore the self-righteous comment about swastika for a few hours now, and still trying to think if it's serious or not.

If so all of us with Union Jacks anywhere near our bikes should hang our slave-trading heads in shame. Or squirm at the thought of our forebears inventing concentration camps. etc etc etc

I cannot sit here and defend the confederate states devotion to the slave trade that brought them wealth, but which in turn led to the US Civil War of 1861-65.

I just think that bike's paint job looks cool and reminds me of a favourite TV programme from my childhood.

Oh, and I'd still do Daisy nowadays…

I don't know how they've been damaged – bought it off a chap. One is seized completely they other is graunchy as. He never mentioned this when we agreed a sale, and I never asked cos I was blinded by what I thought was a bargain! Lesson learned.

Votchy – bought the BB with the bearings already **** and the original owner feigning igonrance when I mentioned it! Took it on the chin as I got it for a bargain.

BigYin – I've got some 6805's SS in my box, think I'll just fire them in, till I can afford such frippery as ceramic balls.
