True Nobeer – what I refer to is a group of people dressing up as him, like for a Fun Run or a Work Night out etc…Apologies to any kids who might see my OP..

I’ve only ridden the cycle-path once, and that was on a fixed wheel track bike with silk tubulars!

So why the easy option this time? Why not go for a Raleigh Grifter with flat tyres, no brakes and only 3rd gear working?

Or a unicyle with 6 inch wheels, whilst juggling lit torches?

Honestly some folk just take any chort cut the can these days…

    ps Good Luck!

I’d like to propose Ray Winston’s attempt at Boston Irish in The Departed. Absolute cack.

    Stick to the In-Play Ray.

I’ll second Peterpoddy here, got the same light and it just works. Even my slow speed pootling keeps it going. Get one.

*sly edit – this was a reply to post further up he page it makes no sense in relation to the one above!*

Why? Are you homophobic? Each to their own I say…

So you need to buy the Raster file(whatever that is?) and send it to the printer of your choice ie Supersizeprint.co.uk? If that’s correct it’ll be $49.99 (£33) then £27 someone quoted above?

“Bearbackbikepacking” – crivens! I think you mean bearbones.

    I’m blaming autocorrect for that…

Check out Bearbackbikepacking site – a few reviews of the different luggage makes on the site and always a good source of discussion within the forum…

Cobblestone is good. Grogan’s toasties are legendary(with me at least) and the crowd in there is interesting enough in itself…

Yeah. I wonder why there wasn’t some sort of comparison to the others, as you write, just for balance. It also made me wonder at the motives/incentives behind the program and who knows who etc.

Big four secretly commissioning a stitch up to try and arrest the loss of market share to Aldi? My tin foil hat is shiny today…

Btw that Scottish store is my local Aldi – the staff are always excellent. The manager js a loudmouth bawbag but in my experience (part-time work in the past) I think thats fairly standard for supermarket managers!

Apparently some of that programme was filmed in my local Aldi. I shall return tomorrow expecting a renewed atmosphere of unstinting passion for customer service, excellent produce at affordable prices and Unending supplies of Taurus cider.

What about the Skinnymalinky? Shand’s out and out road frame, keeping the Peregrine for any off-road/gravel type…

Charge Knife Ti here (definitely fit the lard arse bill) and no problems. Also have a Madison Flux on my gravel bike and happily out all day with no arse issues. Legs and belly issues but not the posterior..

Ground anchor set into a builder’s bucket of concrete might be acceptable to neighbours. The anchor bit can be an old d-lock, the concrete bit she would need help with of course.

Was going to suggest this kind of idea* AND assuming stair access isn’t secure, getting onto the landlord/other neighbours and sorting out the entry buzzer system. In everyone’s interest to stop any old passer-by wandering into the close I’d say…

*although I wouldn’t assume she wont be able to make up ready mix concrete – cos that would be blatant every day sexism wouldn’t it?

The same thing happened with me – except completely different – my small child distracted me as I typed a response seizing my chance to buy a bargain off Ton in the classified section of Bearbones forum. Once I got back to the important business of internet bike bits buying the bargain had been snapped up.

So I can kind of empathise OP but it’s only £2?

    And helpful1? :

But is big brave Dave brave enough to sling insults away from the safety of his keyboard? Doubtful

    Classic.

I like the black. You probably won’t see another rider once you leave the red – and it’ll be heaving at GT as its half term round Edinburgh…if your mate knows the place you’ll see all the good bits don’t worry about the petty bickering on here…

Weighed the krampus – a bawhair under 25lb. Dunno if that’s light but it certainly feels it to me.

Light-bicycle do frames as well as rims – can’t speak for the frames but my rims are ace.

My Krampus is pretty light? – carbon rims set up tubeless with Chronicles and 1×11 help but I’m not sure how light you want to go?

Is there not a Travers Ti 29+ frame available?

I like them also but from your pic, it looks like steering may be an issue? I mean why else would that rider ignore a perfectly good trail like that?

Removal in 5 mins as described above would be possible. I’m willing to bet that it takes more than 5 to get them back on again. That’s why I just set them up and left them. All by myself! And not on a Tripster!

Anyway I’ve long thought that this thread is a cult, and that Tom Cruise clip above is yet more proof!

PDW mudguards are a 5 minute job to fit/remove, as such i fit/remove them as weather dictates.

I’m calling bullshit on that one. They are much easier than SKS Chromos but 5 minutes? Even for this evangelical thread that is over-egging the pudding!

Bought a SS inbred off here. Missed the courier, he returned when I was out. Wife took the delivery. In my absence Her superior detective skills worked out I’d bought another bike I didn’t need. By the time I got back there was no doubt it was not getting as far as the shed.

So I put an ad back up and sold it on before I’d even built it. I did take it out of the box for a look though.

No doubt there are bargains to be had, but for me this experience is always ruined by having to wrestle with folk in stinking Aldi gear barely washed(going purely on the odour emissions) since the last Aldi cycling event 6 months previous over the last pair of size 9-11 socks…

I saw an adult roe deer by the Esk this morning – it did that almost cliche ‘stop, stare at you for a bit then took off into the undergrowth’ then a bit closer to work I saw a shell of a burnt out car and the scar left by two burnt out cargo bikes from incidents a couple of weeks back.

More traffic on the way home tonight so I’ll keep em peeled for any Chip Dicks.

I’ve no idea if the ridgeline frame would take a 29x3inch tyre but I do know that not many suspension forks will without getting the Dremel out to create enough clearance….I’d say you may have to look at 27+ But all that palaver with new ‘standard’ boost hubs is confusing, so do your research before spending any money.

Took a jaunt down the coast to North Berwick the other day on my Krampus. Followed the John Muir way to Gullane, then the route of the Forth Fat out onto Aberlady sands to the midget subs, along Gullane bents to North Berwick. Only one soft sand dune caught me/it out – but it was right in front of two walkers. They were polite but I could tell they were laughing at my failure.

No idea how it would fare on snow but sand seems to be ok. And it’s the shiznizz as a ‘trail’ bike also.
