I have a similar infection and went through the same process.
I found the picolax not to bad overall but the guy with the camera wasn't too gentle with me and it was pretty uncomfortable. 😀
I would still take a minion over a HR for all year round use, maybe not on the rear. But then a high roller has a ramped tread that looks at least like it would suck for climbing.
Looks like they're making a big thing of having a sale when actually the prices are exactly the same as they were before?
And they have been doing this for every sale?
My short lived avid pads went quickly because there was a lot of water mud being thrown at them constantly they had no chance to dry or heat up to recover. Just a grinding paste splattering the caliper/rotor which sanded down the pads pretty quickly and unevenly.
I love mine, it climbs rough stuff really well and handles techy singletrack well too. Descends fine but the chain rattles the frame quite easily(fit a stinger).
As has been said already I also can't think what I would rather have!?
