Lol, I love the Castle Restaurant! Deffo not 1st choice for a wedding bash though.
What is the spanish place further up opposite the castle like? I keep meaning to go. I’m a big fan of pizza so I’d be going to pizza hut up the retail park.

Is this an open invite Golfchick? I have 2 hungry kids that would love a free meal…

After 7 years of marriage I’ve come to the conclusion that dowries should be supplied in the form of sand/cement/aggregate and paving slabs :-)

RSP sorata pro dropper post on both my useable bikes. Cheap and work well, what more do you need?

Glad you got it back! Guess they cut the mount off to make it less like the one stolen?

I’m sure you’ll be able to get a new mount welded on and get the rear triangle painted.

The 3 pin plug isn’t foolproof though, you can’t always account for the lowest common denominator.

I got called out to a shop where the lights weren’t working, found this in the pitch black at the side of the door near the light switch!

Labour seems fine, material seems ott. I’d love to see what tbey did with the 200m of cable! Ask for your copy of the test results sheet and I’ll work out how much cable they used.

Industry is on the up, I’ve had a few calls recently from companies that can’t get sparkies at all never mind good ones.

Got a new job for an apprentice that was sacked for being immature and stupid. He’s just qualified as a sparky and he and and his Dad both phoned to say how much of a difference it made. Felt pretty chuffed.

When I was an apprentice I was working in a hotel leisure club and found a French dude collaped in the sauna. I dragged him out, checked his breathing and put him in the recovery position before getting help. I went to hospital with him to help translate for his family, not that I was any good at French! Was a pretty surreal experience for a 17 year old tbh and left me a bit shaken.

Never mind the doors, I’m more impressed tjat you have your own beach!
Why else would you have a beach hut, right?

Personally I’d leave the stain to weather off over time. Why ruin someones month and take 1k off them when it will eventually peel off itself.
Oh, and I’m currently looking for doors for the garage I’m building, even a stained 1k door would do nicely…

I had a work transit from brand new up till 105k, 2008 till April 2013. Was great and the only thing that went wrong was a gear linkage replaced under warranty.
The transporters we had at the same time were in and out of the garage constantly.
I got a brand new transit last April and it was very sophisticated compared to my previous one. I only had it a couple of months before I changed jobs so I can’t comment on its longevity.

Google seems to show his as a 1998 10th anniversary model.

    murf

Actually, his might well be older as I doubt it has a rear disc mount.
Did they do a similar paint scheme for the 15th anniversary?

I would have thought the Orange would be pretty difficult to sell on. Might it turn up dumped somewhere?
My mate has a similar one in his Dad’s garage, I didn’t know they only made 200.

Wozza, is that deffo a 97? It has the same decals as my 96 and I seemed to remember they cahanged graphics for the 97 models before switching to alu for 1998?
Looks great regardless, planning on a rear disc for mine eventually but my rear magura refuses to die!

I tried a 27.2 rsp plummet/sorata pro post in my 96 Kona cinder cone and it fit perfectly.
    What bike is it for?

Oh and slightly o/t where have all the Sorata pro posts gone? I want to get another but can’t find any for sale.

Nope, no external storage on the 10. Think the free internal memory is about 5 megabytes too!

Have a squint at the Dakota 10 instead, it has much more memory storage and is more versatile.
I believe the Dakota is the replacement for the etrex series.

Great buy! I’ve had my cinder cone since new, 1996! Has aged far better than me and I ride it just as often as my modern Stumpjumper FSR. Got a set of Fox Rl 80’s with a front disc brake and shorter stem and it rides great :-)

Was first uncovered in 1975 from what I read yesterday and was common knowledge, wonder why it’s never been investigated?
I read that the deaths were recorded but that the bodies were dumped in an unused septic tank instead of being buried.

I can’t begin to image how they must have felt, loaded up and waiting to leave landing craft.
Incredibly brave, every one of them. Beyond my comprehension what they went through.

I guess I’m spoiled being from Ft William and now living an hour away. My eldest lad is 3 so time to continue thethere should be indoctrination process. I took him to a national series XC race and he wants to go back next time on his balance bike!

Rain and mud is all part of the experience but the course has changed massively since 2002 when I first went and there shouldn’t be many muddy bits.

Soon as I started my apprenticeship I had to pay £50 a week. In 1997 this was a fair whack when my 1 st year pay was £1.88/ hour!
Turns out they kept it and used it to pay for my rent when I later went to uni.
If my living costs were as cheap as that now I’d be over the moon!

Let the tradesman do the cable calcs, that’s what you pay the money for.
40m is quite a distance but there are loads of other factors to take into account.
House earthing system, supply voltage, maximum demand, diversity etc etc.
The distance is probably going to be the biggest factor, you might well need 3 core 16mm or even 25mm due to the voltage drop along the length of the conductor.
Just a rough guess btw, need more info.
