If the shoes already stink then it won’t work magic on first application but if you give your shoes a spray after each wear the smell will gradually fade to the point after 5-10 applications you don’t notice it anymore. Drying quickly helps too, I either put mine on top of a radiator or on a shoe dryer.

My old commute was either 15 miles on road or 20 miles on 80% towpath. The longer route only took about about 10 minutes more than the shorter one as it was just straight through, no traffic, no junctions etc.

Was better in the morning as most of the people using the path were commuting too. Summer evenings or when there was a fishing contest spread out along a stretch of the path could slow things down a bit but not enough to make me choose to get back on the road.

[edit] Should add that this was an urban canal so pretty well surfaced all the way and was a quick surface to ride on.

Cant argue with the a lot of the criticism but the two part series finale is actually pretty good and worth a watch if you’ve enjoyed the show during any part of its run.

Just seen the update, sounds amazingly positive and I hope things stay that way for you both.

Depends how much time you want to spend on it (sometimes the fun is in the making) but given what you’ve got access to I wouldn’t have any qualms about building that with pocket holes and glue.

Not sure if that’s open at the back but if it is i’d probably add a back panel to generally tidy it up and help keep everything square.

I work from home now but when i commuted I would ride in every day most of the year. On the occasional times that I got up feeling knackered or the weather looked a little testing I’d take the train. That was probably about 10-15 times a year.

Haven’t driven to work for about 20 years. But that is mostly because I live on the outskirts of a major city with good transport links which gives me lots of options.

Umbrella academy is good and features a monkey butler so that should really be enough to recommend it.

Doom patrol is a similarly dysfunctional superhero team which after two episodes is decent but not as good as umbrella academy. There’s no monkey butler but there is a very chunky George of the jungle and a farting donkey.

2-3 days, has been immediate in the past when it needed to be.

Bought a few things from Winstanley’s and wouldn’t think twice about using them again. Never really tested them as far as customer serves go as every order has been uneventfully normal.
