Adsh you won’t have time to take on a bottle I GUARANTEE it! There is no point where you have time or is unforgiving enough to grab a bottle and take a zip. Suck it up and suffer ;-) see you there!

Ha ha someone said Rapha and Aldi gear did the same job! I can assure you they DO NOT!

My posh merino Connie Carpenter Rapha jersey would NOT fit the boy as I throw it to me at the start of a CX race .. my Aldi jersey on the other hand is soo super stretchy it would! And no one will steal my Aldi jersey when it’s lying on the floor at at race….

On a slightly different note can anyone find me a female CX skin suit!! I have raced Ale for the last 2 years, it’s now dying (after I got speared on barbed wire mid race last year) and I’ve lost weight so is a bit big. Paligap aren’t importing them anymore and I can’t find anything other than the No Pinz which looks like it has a V neck (for the winter!?).

I work in the industry but can’t find a women’s CX skin suit in the UK!

Mrblobby where are you based? As we sit between Central and Wessex so get a lot to choose from! Think we’ll be doing Central league though as Mr MC wants to give it a darn good shot as he finished 9th last year in Vets. I’m more easy going and just want to have fun this year!

Looking to buy some tubs, just got some new Baby Limus tub tyres cheap so now just need the wheels!! I’ve been riding clinchers the last 2 years and so far been all okay. It’s the rear mechs that get chewed up!

Summer CX league tonight… yes I’m ready to rock .. actually no I’m not I’m shattered but good prep for winter.

I see Welsh league starts with my club race in Cardiff so I’ll be back for that to get an early race in before the Central league starts up here. Absolutely no plans this year other than to enjoy it and hope that my 2 week holiday to Mexico in the middle doesn’t completely ruin my season too much! We have summer league at the moment so no mud but being back on the CX bike riding at pace and mounting and dismounting has highlighted I need some practice after 4 months off the CX bike.

I’m interested in this too. WE have a double garage that is beyond hooky massive holes in roof and breeze blocks but thought of doing anything is just too horrendous for the upheaval that you have to go through!

Wow one day you found it hard work and now you’re considering signing a petition.

As already said of course it brings lots of revenue in with people visiting having to book hotels, liking the city and possibly coming back with family. The healthy live styles we are encouraging and money raised for charity.

People really need to quit moaning about 1 day of slight inconvenience when we could be living in Syria! Tenby have Ironman Wales AND long course weekend, 2 weekends every year where they are inconvenienced and they flipping love it and come out in droves to support.

I’m 5ft 4 and have a Focus Maeres in XS. Remember they should be a bit smaller too so maybe even a XXS (which Focus ) do. Where are you in the country? If in Cardiff Cyclopedia is the CX shop to go to!

Pay £20 and get some shite, if you want quality that fits and lasts then you have to pay for it. If you don’t care about it just wear anything sorted.

Yes get some DECENT running shoes, get a gait analysis done and buy shoes from a small independent running shop who can give you advice and guidance.

Just because you are a fit cyclist doesn’t mean you can run! My boyf is a super speedy cyclist.. if he tried to run 3 miles straight off he wouldn’t manage it and I have no doubt he would injure himself. Take an ego check and follow the C25K it’s there for a reason!

I recently bought the Anthem Advance 1 and OMG it is the BOMB!!! Too stupid to add pictures to this thread I’m afraid .. or they aren’t in photo bucket so not sure how else you can add them.

It is insanely light, handles so nicely and just looks awesome!

Triathletes use this kind of service all the time to ship their bikes to events.

Staineypants, surely if you’ve been training without a power meter you can do it on average speed (taking into consideration weather, wind etc) feel and heart rate? I’ve done 2 Ironmans without a power meter and planned my bike leg on that one, first one was perfect, second one less so but I knew the issue and decided to ignore it. Yes a power meter is a better gauge but remember you can sometimes get hung up on numbers.

I now have a power meter and I’m slowly learning how to use it! Just seems to blow my mind with complexity at the moment!

I’m with Theboyneeds on this one.

Suffered from perennial rhinitis for years..basically allergies to everything. Options go and get an allergy test and find out what makes it worse.

Secondly DO NOT take daily antihistamines as it will lesser the affect. Only take them when needed and in serious cases you can up the dosage. For a 3 month period ( this was prescribeD) I took 20ml a day of Cetirizine for random facial swellings.

I was born and brought up in Whitchurch and parents still love there. Fantastic location if you can afford it, easy access to Taff Trail to commute into town. My parents regularly walk all the way into the town center just for coffee and cake then home maybe 7 mile round trip. Also Heath, Rhiwbina, Radyr all the North Cardiff areas as already mentioned as perfect for nipping onto the MTB trails in an evening.

17th Sept is the Llanishen CX this year so get it in the diary ;-)

We don’t have aggravated assault and the 1.5m is nothing in the UK. Just back from a week in tenerife where it is law very interesting how they drove out there because of this law.

He won’t go to prison for that, yes technically you CAN get 5 years for an ABH but if you were going to day it common assault max 6 months in Mags court. You won’t get a common assault charge out of that. Careless driving and a no doubt a driver improvement scheme. Education not punishment.

At least the MD has sent a response no which I think fair play to him is very reasonable.

They’ve had to close their accounts or ignore it all as it has gone viral so imagine they can’t deal with it as a small company.

You don’t need the victim to report that to the police as there is clear CCTV for careless driving and no it is attempted murder like so many people want to think it is FFS!

Sad thing is people lose their jobs and small business end up closing down over something like this depending on how it is dealt with. Never acceptable but people make all kind of poor decisions when under pressures for whatever reason. It certainly doesn’t justify a prison sentence!

It isn’t full of negativity it is people’s views and experiences. Not one person on here is happy to see what has happened whether you liked Vulpine kit or not. Like any company some people like their stuff others it doesn’t fit etc.

When they started I loved their kit. It was affordable and good quality then they took investment and it went bonkers IMO. Overpriced and boring. Seems they wanted to expand too quickly too soon and lost the way. Always sad when a business goes especially as Nick was so passionate.
