Just phone them. The AA RAC always price match the online deals. They even fake the ‘I must discuss this with my line manager’ line. Con artists ripping off loyal customers the lot if them.
There’s one on the orange facebook page. Also the 324 at the core bike show had this. Pictures are around with a bit of google. The 324 looks amazing..
I thought I was being paranoid, but there is an actual shortage. I’d better find somewhere to stock up, no bahlsen thing is going to survive the dunk like a bourbon
Had all 3 generations.mk 1 with the hump eats bearings and is wobbly in the granny ring, but is otherwise a riot. Mk2 is a bit more sedate all round. Mk 3 by far the best. If your budget is low I would look at a second hand mk2 or an alpine 160 (a tad heavier but rides better and is more reliable) not sure you could get any for much less than an alu capra with 650b though.
That’s what it’s all about. His last film at schladming I think he was running pro 2’s and I got even more of a sense of speed from the more familiar bee swarm noise.
It isn’t mountain biking, but it is road cycling. The only reason I have thought of getting a road bike is that most of our directors and clients thrash out deals at the weekend while trying to do a ton. 5 years ago they talked golf before meetings now it’s di2. But it’s all money going into cycling which is all good imo.
Turner burner (yellow)
5 spot
SC blur
SC vp free (stupid high bb but would still love one)
Iron horse Sunday
SC bullit (polished with 5th element shock)
Someone commutes to work near me on a yellow mantra. They do look awesome even today.
For me it was a nickel p7 and an SC Bullit, silver with yellow psylos. Wish I has bought and owned both now. It’s funny that most dream bikes retain their status.
After a bit of research this could be expensive or cheap if I want to charge the batteries in a tin at the bottom of the garden. Are there any good, powerful, safe and cheap lights around?
Interesting thought on the nomad/ capra. However I bet you could keep a nomad running for waaay longer with parts and spares than a capra, which makes the value considerably lower
Sstu- I had those lights, those batteries used to weigh as much as the bike. Think I will get some cheapish lights and see what works for me. Interesting no one seems to need the 3.5k lumens they seem to be able to do these days
I feel sorry for the younger ones in our office. The lunchtime drinking and hangover recovery sessions used to be legendary. ‘Twas the recession that screwed it up. Everyone we have taken on recently remembers not having a job so they all work far too hard and tend to go running at lunchtime rather than drinking. Tedious for all involved really, the the drinking/ recovering where always good sport for the others.
Interested to see the older lower link, because that looks like a maintenance nightmare. You would need to be very handy at cleaning and using the grease gun.
The old nomad v bronson will be interesting. Bronson 10mm longer with -1 HA and -10 travel scarcely differentiates them unless the suspension is doing something different.
Count the pivots between the bb and wheel. It’s a single pivot, a lot are these days, it’s how the shock is actuated and the pivot placement that’s important…
