Just told all schools back on 13th. 2 days per week, or if your school is larger or full 1.5 days per week. Let’s hope it’s not for too long as that’s going to be chaos

Thomson layback seatposts I have a couple somewhere too. Could not really be less fashionable. I suppose you could flip them to sort out those crazy slack 74deg seat post angles

Terrible round my way. Large groups of teenagers/ twenty somethings
and groups in cars. Not misbehaving in a pre pandemic way just not staying any meaningful distance apart. Lots of roadies riding in really close knit groups too. Let’s hope we aren’t heading back to full lockdown again

Lightness at a decent price point. Bikes are getting better but get much porkier.

I might be able to get a good deal on the base model and get a charger damper for the yari. Just want to make sure it’s not as bad as the reviews make out

It’s the v3. The front triangle is the problem getting the last 15mm or so. Totally stuck in?

Industry looks to be heading on a 29 bias. I would love to know actual sales though as many bikes are available in both flavours

Interesting that there isn’t a simple cheapish option from x tools or some such as this must be really common. That bearingprotools one looks quite good

Brilliant. It was the red I was after. The website is pretty unclear. Thanks

A friend had the same on the same frame. No replacements left so new frame. Not so great as it needed new shock, new back wheel etc as parts don’t transfer direct.

Not outstanding reviews, really heavy for its class, low specification or really spendy. Then there’s the colours. Oops.

Bronson colours are the worst. There isn’t even a reasonable muted one.

Attacked by a lady amherst pheasant in AE a few years ago. Very surreal looking and really aggressive. Not as many pointy bits as a buzzard though.

Hightower – new one appearing in the next month or so apparently. Although that megatower has had pretty lack lustre reviews

Interesting comparison with the capra Al base. Similar spec, geometry and weight. All for £2k less. Really surprised by the MT weight seems a good chunk more than a nomad

New long travel 29 from SC will be dual crown compatible I’ve heard. Think the YT Capra is already

87mm from centre- see diagram below. The 26 has extension lines leading to the fold line

Used loads. Always good service and excellent pricing.

Weight versus money. Depends if you think it will end up the wrong side of what you think is a good weight. The cheaper alloy bronsons weigh a portly 34lbs(the US website is good for weight comparisons)

Apparently amazon can tell which bits are being fast forwarded so they ditched the celebrity sections

Santa Cruz uk / jungle do touch up pens for most colours. If they don’t have one you can order parts from the US (although that gets really expensive)

Yes. I am short and scare stories of early ones put me off. Now though I think they are better in every way.

Very common. I warrantied a frame a few years ago. The best offer was a new frame which sounds great except it came without shock, and not many components fitted (again 650b boost replacing a 26).

Loving the grey bronson. But it’s quite heavy unless you get very spendy? 34lb for aluminium? I guess the complexity of the glory hole design adds some weight. I would be a bit worried about the shock placement for mud/ grit action too. It will be interesting to see how the design works for higher use but I guess it’s tested with the nomad

It’s a known issue- I think mtbr have a page on it

Indicators that draw a line with leds rather than flash. They annoy me as much as a Nissan juke and that asymmetric number plate put together

New bronson looks like a nomad v3 in terms of geometry but with the new suspension (vulnerable hearings and shock?) and 2.6 tyres as standard.

Should be great but I suspect it’s the last gasp of 650b?

Rubber/sarnafil/ single ply. But it generally needs a vented backing if it’s not direct onto insulation. Torch ons have improved but should have some sort of fall and  then it’s down to workmanship. Grp is good but can crack if loaded (foot traffic/ ladders etc depending on the system and installation.

my nomad 1 had play caused by bearing wear, then axle wear, then the link needed to be replaced. All at various times depending on use. Could be axle/ link wear?

On its side. Cut with knife (both bits of pastry in one go) and it’s chunked up nicely. Then just eat the thing

Fort william World Cup. 3 years ago I think. I didn’t think it could be that bad…

Not been for a few years. I just didn’t remember getting battered so much the last time. There looks like loads of unofficial routes are opening up too?

Had same issue. Running low pressure, assume tire burped a lot of air then re-sealed once the sealant was sloshed around on the walk home?

James May has/had one as a run around. Think he loved his and gave a pretty positive review

New section is great fun. Ae running great overall. Omega man is getting really washed out/ rocky now though. I remember fondly when is was a bit smoother, flowed really well and you could rag it without landing on rocks…

Excellent, was worried it might be a bit tall and throw out the geometry. I like a 150 on my hardtail and don’t really want less

New range of children’s bikes from orange that look great, if you like orange (the colour)

One question. Big forest, why build in the heart on top of the existing facilities? Why not beside or near then it’s win win for all? I assume the developer just drove up the road and pointed at the bit he could see/ wanted?  (I have seen this on numerous occasions)

The new stuff looks amazing but it’s down the hill near some real bandit country. I hope I’m wrong but either people will start getting bikes nicked or it will be shut when a ned nearly kills himself on a BSO over the jumps.

It’s always ok first thing in the morning but the later you are the dog walkers / neds appear. The dog walkers are generally ok but there are some real nutters amongst them…

All said it’s good enough and the new stuff looks great fun
