Think they are all closed with no sign of opening any time soon.

They have sram eagle stock. So it’s probably crashing under demand. £210 for a cassette that was too expensive at £160…

Avengers graphic, 150 travel (seems low for purpose), expensive, longevity (what happens if an untested company folds in a year and you need parts?).

What does that German research say about the AZ vaccine? No efficacy or am I reading it incorrectly? If true no wonder we need a booster programme

So bbc are reporting early studies saying Pfizer antibodies 40x less effective against omicron. From 12 people is not conclusive but even if the direction is partially correct this sounds very bad?

Used many times for various full builds, spares etc and have been first class (including warranty work). Sounds like they are having issues with their frame supplier they don’t want to tell you about unless they have to.

Even the £3k spec is terrible. £3.5k for gx? Is that a finders fee?

Today’s figures in Scotland are a bit worrying when they will precede the path of the uk as a whole. This must be way under the actual figure with all the asymptomatic vaccinated people. We are trying to get a test appointment for our youngest. Closest appointment 30miles away.

Gx stuff? I have the same click under power on two bikes and it’s the only common factor

Was going to say 224, but I’m 5’9’ with a 15 frame and it’s tiny (reach) and heavy. Great fun though and about as pedalable for short distances as my 35lb 29er (it weighs more but the little wheels spin up nice and fast)

So after the 16th if you’ve been jabbed you don’t need to isolate if you are a contact but you do need to PCR test? So we will now run out of test capacity again as this will be a big number?

Re Scotland as said above its schools / unis that are a major transmitter. Wait till the end of august. Also wait till beta comes along with its high strike rate against the AZ vaccine. This isn’t over for a while yet

Will England’s case rate follow Scotland’s after schools are out? That would fall for a while (making boris look clever) then really get us in september/ October when we are all convinced it will be fine. Or will night clubs undo it all like in the netherlands.

Look at the rate of increase in Scotland vs vaccination. Can’t see vaccination outrunning the increase. Maybe school terms ending will help. Firebreak lockdowns by August? Hope not but at least I can say I predicted it

Perfect, will give it a go. Nothing to lose really as the tyres are pretty cheap

Surely given the lowering efficacy of the vaccine against variants, the number who have yet to receive a vaccine and the sheer exponential rate of potential increase we will be back where we were it will just take a few weeks longer? Ie much lower rates affecting much much higher numbers? Hopefully not

Case numbers not really dropping any more and remaining quite high? Any idea what that is about?

Drive thru mass vaccination centres will be happening depending where you live. 1-4 per car, stick your arm out type.

Just reading that they will try and match for second dose but can mix if necessary. So I think you will just be asked to line up and take what’s on offer.

Anyone seen any evidence on the new ‘highly transmissible‘ strain?

There was a lot of loose wording a few weeks back but little evidence to back it up. We know it exists but is it truly a new strain or just a variant? Is the evidence of transmissibility real or circumstantial (emerging from an area of low restriction and adherence rather than being truly more transmissible)

It seems like a given reported in the press with little to back it up?

Does the brand x take air (under the saddle?) had similar issue with a dropper in low temps and the pressure was slightly too low to actuate

Assuming any stock in the uk. No point supporting something that doesn’t exist. Main reason for my previous euro orders.

If the current vaccines are rendered ineffective surely it’s just a case of reformulating to the new strain. It takes time, but hey we’ve done it before so this time will be quicker?

Watch this space. Next vaccine approval soon. No issues with availability. Drive thru vaccinations etc etc. We will all be done by autumn.

27.5 only, oxblood red or kermit green/ pink is what I had heard. Does anyone want 27.5 any more? will the weight be reasonable? not quite sure of the point of a long travel, heavyish 27.5 bike?

Isn’t someone doing 9 speed wide range now? So better set up / reliability, same range but only compromised in steps between gears. Sounded a good approach rather than +1 gear per year

Scotland just had mid term and shut pubs. Let’s hope the slight decrease in increase improves. Can’t see it when the schools are now back unfortunately.

SC are not really competitively weighted or even have the most progressive geometry. Great customer service though. Things move on – look at what specialized and nukeproof are now doing

So all central belt to be tier 3. Pubs open before Christmas? Can’t see it

    munkyboy

N3 was light. Newer SC are heavier and 29ers make them feel a bit dead compared to the N3. Give it time though, there is way more grip, stability and plusher, predictable suspension. There is a good reason they ditched the higher link suspension in trade for weight.

Do we have a viable vaccine? Just been talking to friends who are part of the planning for mass vaccination centres, with very short timescales involved and unbelievable scales. Would have thought this was a bit early unless we are actually making informed planning about something during this mess.

Just had exactly the same except it ended with an almighty crunch as the end bearing of the freehub collapsed. No bearings to be seen and the inner race in 4 pieces. Done about 800miles I reckon. I believe you can swap the bearings but I just got a new freehub and will repair/sell later.

What time (uk) are the last 5 men up? I can’t seem to work out the start times

Something about a backlog of cases since the 24th. Even then it bumps the seven day average way up

Fingers crossed this works at all. My two (along with many other) where back for 3 days then off immediately. Testing came back as negative so they clearly caught the standard ‘back to school’ cold. So months of planning, hand washing, one way systems etc etc couldn’t stop a cold running through a school? I assume we will just be living with local closures and spells of self isolation measures from now on

I feel your pain. The lidl ones where one of the only meals in the ven diagram of fussy eating that the whole family ate. They do chunky ones still but they are rubbish.
