Any news on nukeproof warranty. Are the New CRC just going to tell you to do one? All a bit confusing if you bought something 8 months ago and were oblivious to the changes

So that’s who bought the remaining stock. I got one of the fohn down jackets for £46 that are now £135. Nearly bought a gilet for £36 now they are £69

They must be chucking the last orders out. Got my delivery of random shizz ordered on the 15th today. CRC memento mori waterbottles and fancy nukeproof carbon bottle holders.

Best of luck to anyone involved in this. Felt like picking over a carcass.

Yes, amazed people don’t. But then not surprised by the instinctive/irrational actions of some.

More interesting is some people lack a ‘minds eye’ where they cannot picture anything in their heads. Faces, places etc etc. cannot imagine what that would be like

Just placed another last order. headset press for £27. rude not to when i got charged more to fit my last one.

Do you think they are about to pull the plug on new orders- has seller been found for all remaining stock – that was this week?

Wow. That is never going to happen. Sort of price that would complain at pesky bikers in the woods disturbing the peace.

Takes a while. Ordered some hope pedals a couple of days and only got dispatch notification late last night

Crazy deals on giga/ mega. Almost worth it for the build kits alone. But no warranty and all spare parts being hoovered up for a pound.

Exactly. Just build the holiday lets in the middle and move on

No. In theory you can get new freehubs (for sram xd) but in reality no. Have the same wheelset and when looking into it was told the wheelset was junk and the bearings would barely last. Have run it in all conditions, gone through 2 cassettes and it’s been faultless. The nx cassettes weigh a ton though.

Really odd old standard that locks you out of upgrading though.

Nigel page (team manager nukeproofsram) has said it’s all over on Instagram. Assume that’s it then. Terrible news for all, nukeproof were really excelling at the moment.

Construction. Lots of projects being stopped and put on hold due to cancelled funding and increased costs. Redundancies in places. We are usually the canary in the mine

Lots of designs rely on additional fixings on the assumption that all will not be fitted, will be fitted incorrectly or to insufficient spec. Designing for human error and laziness. Assume this was next level

Imagine bikes if every bolt had 2 or 3 if only one was actually needed

They lost quite a bit in the CRC crash. Looked like they offloaded build kits (remember those fox forks with odd decal kits) and never got the money back

The discounts on some year and a half old builds are incredible. Especially the 5010. Assume they have massive overstock (most sizes available) and almost no market like everyone else.

Cheap but no warranty potentially. Tough call

All of that and not the switch hardtail at £3.5k with SLX. It looks great but really?

Gutted, owned 2 in the past and they were faultless.

The range is stupid now though, too many models, no focus and sadly no ‘five’ – no rowdy trusty trail bike. Looks like they just throw out lots of ideas out and hoped one would sell. But in reality kind of confusing.

If they did a carbon five back when they were popular it would have been quite the thing…

Assume the days of bargains are gone and there is a buyer lined up? Or there is enough money to keep the lights on till January then back to the sales?

Because they will be available individually with 50% off later? Lots of similar/ better offers elsewhere?

I have the sram mth / arc wheels from a base Santa Cruz build a few years ago. I did a bit of research on them and the hubs are described by many as disposable in terms of longevity and are hard/ impossible to adapt to many standards. Expecting to get 6 months out of them I relegated them to a hardtail build where oddly they have been utterly faultless for two years in all conditions/abuse. That said for £80 I now have a spare set

Seen how much they are charging now….reassuringly expensive again. Like the pedals that where £50 that are now £100

Got those oil slick pedals for £40 which was a bargain. May get more for spare parts/ replacement. Crazy as the normal pedals were £50 and are now £100. No idea what they are doing with pricing

160 on a bfemax. It’s designed for it and partly the reaso. I chose the frame. I tend to hammer it less than the full suss so it naturally uses less travel/ doesn’t get out of shape. But it’s there when you need it. It’s a brilliant thing

That sounds fine to be honest. I usually do a check and shakedown on anything I buy anyway.

I would have been annoyed as you are effectively agreeing to something that isn’t fully defined. It’s risk/reward judgement on delivery speed based on dealing with a company that may disappear

Have agreed to wave the inspection of a bike order to get it quicker. I’m assuming it will be mostly constructed – if it’s just a box of bits and I’m having to do a full build and shorten hoses I’m going to be well annoyed. Anyone know yet what this actually means?

Minor geometry tweaks and double the price of the crush. I don’t get it

But then I don’t get most of the orange range. Too many models, loads of overlap, no focus and they still do a full range of 27.5 f and r?

1800g for those nukeproofs is incredible. Enves are 1900. Reserve carbons are 1830. Will go take a look

    That wheelset looks interesting

Light e-bike specific – could you use it on a normal bike? At 2000g looks light enough. Only downside I can see is really odd spoke standards – so could be impossible to fix in a few years??

How is Rapha still standing – or is just the usual accountancy nonsense passing moneys to a parent company so it looks like a loss to pay no tax….

Used to love sending/ receiving A1 drawings via fax. Lots of cutting, numbering and feeding then cutting the roll up and sellotaping a crazy patchwork quilt of drawing parts into a whole again.

Sad news. Hopefully the good bits will remain after the inevitable. Nukeproof were really on a roll recently.

Hate to think what they will do to sponsored/ supported athletes. Hard times
