any ideas why that may be? something borked?

Have a look at the condenser radiator – the one in front of the main radiator- the fins on them are extra fine and can be easily damaged by stone strikes etc. Also they can be prone to corrosion. Either way this can cause the gas to escape = no working air con.
Also unfortunately VAG used very underated air con pumps and these are prone to failure.

Had a Fox 32 with CTD, absolute dung, crashed through the travel on descent setting and little damping on trail setting – replaced with Manitou Tower which has much better damping and control, absolutely superb for the money.

Had both, Alpine is a great bike but the Sovereign is more fun.

Absolutely stonking value for money – Madison definitely have perfected the art of killing the value of a brand with wacky pricing. Launch the models at above market prices and then wack a huge discount on it before the brand gets any respect/credence. Would be seriously pissed off if I had bought one of these earlier in the season and it would put me off buying in the future until they have at least 50% off rrp.

    Name and shame?

Perhaps try and communicate with the op rather than being the over emotional clown you seem to be when dealing with people in the classified section. (patiently waiting to be proved otherwise)

Yes I agree but there is a definitive difference between it being there to help and assist when things go wrong beyond your control and being nonchalant and not caring ( perhaps not in this instance) but there is an attitude in some people that insurance is there to be taken advantage of at the drop of a hat(and no I don’t need to change my aquaintances)

    ^^ Mr Trailrat talks sense^^
Insurance is there to protect not to be taken advantage of- look after the phone and you will not need it – no doubt some one will be along to say how their life depended on it

As has been mentioned modern diesels have too many fragile ancillaries that are there to reduce noxious fumes which are prone to expensive failure. Unless you are intending to do >20k miles pa any fuel saving you get with diesel would be more than offset if any of these components go pop. (this coming from a diesel driver)
Personally I would look at something with the VAG TFSI engine that has not been on extended services.

You said not second hand but I have got a one ride old Zesty 314 at a very second hand price. Perfect light weight enduro tool.

Whenever I have bought oem reverbs like this which were listed as MMX all I did was take the matchmaker mount off and I was good to go – to be 100% contact on-one and see if it comes with the spacer as per the last image I posted above

    mundiesmiester

They come with a spacer to use instead,

Can someone explain what the MMX means?

Will come with an additional mount if you use matchmakers to tidy your bars. Just whip it off if you don’t need it and you are good to go.

Would have been helpful if I had read the second page – 😳
Definetly something fundamentally wrong there if the other candidate did not meet essential qualifications/experience and in addition if HR confirmed that your wife scored highest.
Something very strange happening in the process. Yep worth taking the matter up with a union rep.

Wife interviews for bands 3-6 on a regular basis and I mentioned your wife’s situation. She confirms that candidates are invited to interview on the basis of meeting qualification/experience criteria, they are then asked a variety of set questions which they are then marked on. No different from most other interview processes.Unfortunately for your wife the successful candidate scored higher -only in the situation where more than one candidate has the same highest score does other factors such as experience fall into the mix.
Looking at the glass half full, your wife needs to see this as a learning opportunity and go for it again next time and succeed. Easier said than done.

For the cost of getting it done, even by the clowns at KwikFit it is not worth the hassle of using diy recharge cans – there is a strong possibility of you over pressurising the system with them and killing the compressor.

As has been suggested your head will be pickled trying to get it dialled in with a DBAC – get the Monarch tuned and it will fundementaly alter the back end of the Mega for the better.

Nukeproof originally specced the Mega with an off the shelf Monarch tune which provided the frame with a dead feeling. Unlike this years frame which has been specifically tuned and has transformed it with everything that it called out for.

Can’t understand why he was not remanded in custody.

He may be 83 and have a heart condition, however it was as recently as his previous hearing he appeared in front of the camera’s and with pugnacious arrogance claimed his total innocence and that the accusations were spurious. Having been bailed today his response to the same reporters was “no comment”. It appears the arrogance he showed through out his career has not left him.

Nope as cash is tight at the moment have been going to the local garage who sells it from the pump and filling 25 litres at a time. With the last few days being Baltic it has not been turned off so we have been going through it at a fair rate of knots.

Yep definetly was the oil pressure adjuster I was adjusting – now is running constant with a bit of smoke – as a temporary fix would it be ok to back of the adjuster until it stops smoking?

    mundiesmiester

Got it up and running and it is smoking a bit – take on board Chris that it is the oil pressure adjustment, without using a guage is it possible to use any other indicators that it is running at a safe pressure as I need to run it until I can get a service man in?

Bleed screw is a flat head slot to left of burner and when i fully unscrew it I hear air being sucked in – burner is igniting for a few secs then goes out with a lot of black smoke

Unfortunately Skoda UK will not do the right thing and cover you for this as you are well out of warranty on miles and age. When this happened to mine I sent the pump to ECU Testing they turned it around in 5 days and charged me £250 with a lifetime warranty. For my tuppence worth find yourself a decent indy from now on as they will be much cheaper and chances are do a better job.

Well done PP I admire your determination to get the job – it may not pay the best but hopefully you will get the satisfaction to more than make up for it.
