From the classifieds – these are good tyres, I run them all the year round (no affiliation btw)

Edit – not sure that link works – tyres-26×2-0-bontrager-mud-x-team-pair/ is what you’re looking for

Ok so unrelated but related, can anyone answer this – I was pondering how much I sweat out after a long hot bath, so did a before and after weigh-in on the scales (can’t recall what the reduction was but it was quite a bit) BUT then drank 2 pints of water in quick succession to replace fluids and then weighed myself again – no increase! What’s going on there then? Reasonablly sensitive digital scales so assume they’d pick up a ~1kg increase in weight…

I love under the approach into RAF Lossiemouth and have typhoons over my head almost constantly – though they don’t show up on that site. Anyone got an explanation why? I don’t really understand what I’m looking at to be fair…

Hey! Are you all following me?! Moved from Haslemere to Fochabers in February – just before lockdown. Timing or what. 10 week old baby preventing much of the exploring but I’m minutes from the Speyside Way so using lockdown to househunt and look at OS maps and plot routes. Got a pal in Kingussie so that will be my first stop.
Oh and Dovebiker – legendary volumes of snow are spoken of – I think the fatbike will be very useful..
I’ll see you on a hilltop windfarm soon

All in favour of removal of the greys from woodlands. No issue there. However, Have some experience using those traps albeit for mice/rat control and when speaking to others to get feedback/advice there was a lot of people mentioning that the weren’t particularly effective on squirrels and woodpeckers can be caught out by them. Main issue seems to be that they’re the wrong orientation, pointing downwards, a squirrel is most likely to encounter it when returning back up the tee from the ground after feeding so not likely to investigate. Woodpecker the opposite.
I’d be devastated if woodpeckers suffered as collateral damage to my trapping efforts.
Now, Where was the guy selling that air rifle again?

And it has a bid! Shame as those frames are one of the last few good 26” frames with modern geo and standards – tapered headtube – before clownwheels took over …

Cookoos have a bad reputation and are generally derided, also not the prettiest bird but they are actually quite extraordinary and in big trouble numbers wise. Can you imagine a summer without hearing one? That’s a distinct possibility in the near future…

large eucalyptus tree in the corner of our garden which was crying out for something creative being done with

Cut it down, burn it and plant something native. Awful trees!! Your neighbours will thank you 😅

More seriously – I second the advice the others have said about tree species and fixing it to the stems. This is a baaaaad idea.
In my experience, those coach screws aren’t particularly solid, they will snap or shear surprisingly easily – we used to use them or gate hinge plates and could break them by hand with a ratchet. I’d be concerned if/when the tree moves and flexes they will just shear and you’ll be left with a pile of timber stuck in a tree.
Lastly – 4th pic down of the two clamps either side of the branch – you’ve just drilled 2 holes straight through that and created a massive weak spot, right over the trampoline. That is an accident waiting to happen – it will fail.
Sorry – don’t want to ruin your work but I’d go back to the drawing board.
    Sorry again!!

26 straight steerer forks are thin on the ground – I’ve got some old dual position Pikes on, also set at 140mm… 😀👍

Cheap oral b tends to be a bit gutless I have found. Now on a Philips and impressed with power and action. Like cg, they need to be replaced more frequently than you’d expect, oral b batteries go and Philips seal went and allowed water in. Replaced with another of the same however.

I had this earlier, was in preview at the time and had to go back and edit, then made sure I selected the correct ad type (free) and it posted. Was unsure if it was me forgetting to select ad type prior to viewing preview or an error…
