The ‘increase storage size’ issue is back for me on my iPhone… kept clicking yes, I suspect this would have kept increasing … no other issue noticed apart from this.

these raffles are great, keep em coming! Thanks to Cy for getting involved.

I do feel like I miss out on the draw or the winner announcement, perhaps you could make more of a deal about that and the new owner- forum post or front page? Just a thought.

Picked up a Lego technic Lamborghini hurican 42161 in Tesco for a quite reasonable £28 while letting the wee one choose anthother little set. Reduced from £47 with Clubcard.
First Lego I’ve bought for myself since childhood despite having an extensive collection of blocks – quite shocked by the instruction manual – almost 200 pages!! Jeepers

I’m looking at the same upgrade as well atm, whether to expand our existing array or just fire all the money into battery storage.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a cost vs generation type spreadsheet to compare the options etc?
    Seen the one at https://great-home.co.uk/solar-export-guarantee-seg-calculator/
    Which seems ok…?

    Minor thread resurrection …

Has anyone managed to find a reasonable priced snow foam attachment that will fit?

I’ve just bought one of these from my local motor factor that will screw straight to the gun, sans lance. Seems ok for £40 – haven’t used it yet.
    Karcher HDS adapter required.
    Hope this is useful…

Went for £2 in the end, first tooth and all that.
Now the wee blighter has informed me that another tooth is wobbly and is attempting to pull it out!!
Will need a bigger piggy bank at this rate. And a bank loan… 😭

BoE tells me that £1 in 1980 is worth £4.10 in todays money. Kids of this generation are getting robbed!! Or did we all have it too good?🫤

    Daffy – big spender!!
Thanks all, I feel highly vindicated by insisting £1, was being made to feel like Scrooge 😄
I recall Grandma Poland insisting that PLN100 – about £20 – was reasonable for a niece’s tooth, now that was madness…

I’ve got a DCM561, which came with the 5ah battery and like you, a selection of 2/4ah batteries in kits. I rate the strimmer, it’s very powerful and robust, I’m used to using the bigboy Stihl clearing saws with blades, which it’s obviously no match for but for using round the garden with the string line, the Dewalt is perfect. It is heavy on batteries so 4/5ah or bigger is needed, but you do get 20 mins or so (guessing here) which is perfect for most trim the edge of the lawn after mowing type duties.
Only annoyance is you can’t use a harness and I’d like to try with a grass blade but the head is no interchangeable.
    I’d say go for it!

Would an app like Opensignal be of use? You can check position of nearest masts etc – link below for iPhone but think there is an android version as well

Let the plant dry out – those fly things will thrive in moist conditions , and get a sundew sticky fly trap type plant. Don’t bother with chemicals. Personal experience.

Hi Martin, I’ve just gone through this upgrade with my (almost) 5yo daughter, from a Cnoc14 to a Beinn20 small. It really doesn’t feel like a heavy bike in the hand, she’s so much more confident on it already, the bigger wheels really help. She’s almost got the hang of the gears already, needing a prompt when to change but has expanded the terrain that can be handled so very little pushing or towing required. Plus the metallic blue of hers is stunning.
Looking back I should have put her on a bigger bike sooner!
I’d say don’t over think it, kids will battle on regardless, colour is more important!!😃
Alternatives, I’d look at the Frog models, I think they’re a bit lighter.
    Hth.

Hello all – new to this solar game, new build house with 4.2kw installed in the roof.
I’m wondering what everyone else uses to monitor their domestic consumption – I’ve got a Wi-Fi dongle feeding data from the inverter, (Solis S5), plus various apps showing smart meter data, but have been eyeing up systems that will let me see both in ‘real-time’ ie efenergy pro.

Any advice or experience to share?
    Thanks!

Are the threads mangled internally or externally? I had something similar and solved it by replacing the valve core in that bottom valve from an old wheelbarrow inner tube. Might be worth a try – I think they’re still good old forks. Hope this helps!

    My guesses-
A – softwood of some type?
    B – oak.
    D – walnut? Looks nice.
    Good quiz!
