explain the need to do anything otherwise please.

    Rainy day fund?

Fortunately I have been building up a financial buffer for when the economy next got messed up – it’s just happened.

Occasionally I meet someone who is youngish and seemingly bright who is pro Brexit and ask why, they all seem to think short-term pain is worthwhile; I suppose they assume they won’t be losing their job/house but how many others will?

A risky time to start doing that.

If you take it out of the ISA you’ll lose that ISA allowance which may not matter to you. Get 3% at Santander 123 – you can earn £500 or £1000 tax free depending on your tax threshold now.

    FTSE 100 up significantly

in sterling but not dollar terms – and FTSE250 is still well down.

Some seem to think we’ll be heading for the glory days of the British Empire again, they mostly seem to be non-professional types….

They’re available on Ebay for a bit more than RRP but should be more on sale from Lego soon.

Amusingly a colleague is in the opposite situation

His parents separated and his Mum got a house which she recently sold and moved into my colleague’s rental property. She has yet to pay him anything, or mention that she might, he tells me he wants enough to cover the mortgage on it. Thing is he has a mortgage on his own place too and wanted to sell the rental one but now can’t. She has £200k in the bank 😀

Mine jets water in a way that makes it feel like it’s doing something, can’t use floss or those tepe things but have used some Wisdom ones that were fine – you can get them on Amazon.

Boringly I’m planning to build it with my lego obsessed son when he’s older so will be waiting for a while – he’s only just 6.

Definitely should pay enough to cover power/water/food/etc costs but not sure I’d go above that – though saving it up to give back later is worthwhile.

My Mum let me stay in return for baby sitting my little sister after I offered to pay – after Uni but before I got a job at which point I moved out. My Dad didn’t know we’d agreed this and asked what I wanted to pay but my Mum told him all sorted 🙂

I tried 101 as soon as I could but no response and that said to do online. This morning I had a call saying the info was sent to my local police station and someone from there said it was now sent over to someone in Woking who would call later. I’m not hopeful.

This is gazundering, presumably they’ve spent a bit on surveys, have they got a house to sell? If this sale falls through what happens to theirs?

I use a Gabba short sleeve top if think will be showers and add water proof arm warmers if likely to be colder or more rainy. I do have soft shells but too warm for this time of year but actually would be ok for today – my Aldi one is very good for £35.

Well I see it is doable:

The Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 provides for general elections to be held on the first Thursday in May every five years.

However, there are two provisions that trigger an election other than at five year intervals:

    – a motion of no confidence is passed in Her Majesty’s Government by a simple majority and 14 days elapses without the House passing a confidence motion in any new Government formed
    – a motion for a general election is agreed by two thirds of the total number of seats in the Commons including vacant seats (currently 434 out of 650)

He won’t walk so they’re pushing more and more, seems fair enough but not a world I want to be part of.

There can’t be another election anytime soon can there?

If I want to sell something of highish value but not sure many will bid I start at a highish price and keep re-listing until gone.

Win: I’ve bought a few top turbos (Elite RealAxiom/RealPower) in the Spring when no-one wants them, used them for a winter or two then sold them early winter for £100s profit.

Lose: Bought a set of wheels with newish tyres for my Puma for quite a high amount as desperate when I bust one hitting a pothole assuming I’d be able to use the others when my current tyres worse out. Ended up barely using the car for the next few years as working in London so travelling by train. Then had a baby so changed the Puma and struggled to sell the 3 remaining wheels.

Surely the fattest shoppers need the most space between cars so must use the mother and baby ones?

Trouble is my garden is tiered

So it could be made flatter by piling your waste appropriately?

If you’re garden’s that big just create a big pile down the bottom and let it rot.

I used to weight train and squatted with a reasonable weight – 140kg. Thighs/butt were chunky and jeans were a problem – had to have several waste sizes bigger than I was.

Now slimmish and quite defined – calves ripple nicely anyway. My thighs look better in the winter which is down to the turbo work I do then – probably as I use lots of resistance.

I foolishly didn’t realise they were in France and watched my order slowly make it’s way across the country. All was ok though – except the plug was a French one.

What happens when the firm hand shaker meets a limp shaker? Does the limp one get squeezed out?
