I just used cable cutters to cut the hose.I made a hose gripper(whatever it’s called) with 2 small pieces of wood placed in a vice and drilled a hole where they press together. When I bought an xt front brake the hose gripper and plastic caliper spacer came with it.
Only had mine for 6 weeks before it got stolen. Wanted a raw one but on one said they wouldn’t be getting any more in. Don’t get it, they are still making steel inbred’s so why discontinue the ScanAl? I don’t want a fugly carbon one with a push fit bb.
Was looking after a friends red kneed tarantula a few years ago. Spent ages just waiting for her to move. Amazing creatures. Felt a bit sorry for the crickets though
Get some receptacle that doesn’t let light in. They wanna escape into some dark crevice. Then just disturb her and she’ll escape into it. Job done, no need to kill innocent creatures.
I didn’t use it but I watched some video and gorilla tape seemed like it worked just the same as stan’s tape and was a lot cheaper. You can put a tyre in initially to seat one side of the bead. When I put sealant in I pull off part of the tyre from the rim, pour some in and then rotate the wheel before putting the tyre back.
Passed my test a year ago but £1360 on insurance is just too much. No wonder there are so many people driving uninsured (would never do it though). Might check out this Adrian Flux bloke.
It does dry out over time but that depends on conditions apparently. You can just pull a bit of tyre off the rim to put in more sealant. Tube in bag is a good idea just in case.
Wish I hadn’t have spent £85 yesterday now. Gave away my mystery voucher 3 weeks ago too. Suppose I’ll get another voucher with my latest order and feel the need to spend more money to save £5.
Managed to do it with a Panaracer trailraker 2.1 on a flow rim (a lot of air came out of the sidewalls before sealing). Just back from the Alps and was using a High roller on an Arch for 2 weeks, never lost any pressure. Once had a Hutchinson cobra blow off the rim going downhill though. Not gonna use them tubeless anymore.
I’ve tried quite a lot of brakes and Shimano are by far the easiest to bleed in my opinion. I bleed from the top down. I never touched the free stroke screw, it was all the way in.
Got Continental supersport plus 700×23. They were £16 from planet x. Really like them but they’ve probably gone back up to full price now. Will get a Durano plus next.
Yep total pain, trying to get the wire things onto the pads is the worst part for me. Not enough room for the rotor to turn freely, at least not on mine.
Thanks, did have a hope one before but the bike it was on got stolen. Have been looking at Saint and XTR too but not sure how much better they’ll be than xt level.
Last month after spending 2 days trying to get my magura Louise’s sorted out I woke up at 5am to catch my train from Clapham junction to catch my lift to Wales. A few days before I had set up a Hutchinson cobra onto a stans flow rim tubeless, a combination I had used the previous year with no trouble. On the final hill to the station the rear tyre blew off the rim with a huge bang. I slammed on the brake and skidded for a few meters on the rim. Had a very depressing 45 min walk home. My rim was ruined and my bike was covered in sealant the quickly got very dirty :(
Mine has a really short head tube so guess it’s an early one. Seems pretty indestructible, got hit while stationary by a car going at 30MPH and it survived. Wish I still had my Scandal, that was a rocket.
