There was another thread about this recently. I put in spring steel washers which are about 2mm wide, my chain line is dead center. Using XT double, 73mm shell, didn’t move the bb spacer.

I never thought to compress my suspension before(dw), but when I went 1×10 I did. Added 4 links and the chain was totally slack. Think I took 2 links out.

Remembered, pretty sure this is a Light bicycle rim, bought the wheels from here last year.

I bought a car finally last year finally, purely for getting out of London. It’s good to know I’m no longer a loser, well apart from the fact that it’s a 1L nissan micra

Bought some steel spring washers (99p) from ebay as I thought spacers made for bikes were just too expensive. Couldn’t move my bottom bracket spacer as I’m using a bb chainguide and have 73mm shell. They happened to be a perfect width, now my chain is right in the middle of the guide.

My hope bottom bracket is still sat on the shelf. My xt refuses to die, been using it day in day out for 8 or 9 months. Got an ext24 ceramic in my main bike, went for a little ride and realised it was way too tight(and didn’t tighten the 2 crank bolts. Hope I haven’t damaged it, was only 4 miles though.

Was vegan for 2 years and never had those types of problems. Was she vegetarian before or go straight from meat and dairy to being vegan?

Some of the nu-skool stuff you could ride on a Brompton. Just won’t look as stylish when do a table top.

The person who used to work at Pc world in the reddit comments is pretty revealing.

Been doing the same. A medium cage rear mech is ok up to a 42t sprocket. Think they recommend adding 4 links to the chain. I’m trying to decide whether to go 40t or 42t.

Well the stanchion showing is less when I’ve reduced the travel on my forks so the axle crown length will be shorter for sure. The hardest part for me is getting the round circlip out/in from the bottom of the stanchion.

1×9, 40t fsa downhill chainring and 12-27 road cassette. For some reason the chain hardly ever falls off and it’s not a clutch mech. I think it’s so old and stiff that it acts like one. When I did have a clutch mech it fell off fairly often, especially when moving down the cassette quickly.

Lost count of how many bikes I’ve built. I really enjoy the whole mechanical side to it. I’ve managed to service most of things successfully. Had to admit defeat with the bladder damper from a Marzocchi marathon fork and a Formula Oro that I couldn’t get to work after try to bleed it. Any facing jobs I go to Brixton cycles for.

I bleed mine from the top down. Take the brake from the bike and hang it from the a bike stand. Fill up the cup thingy and attach a piece of hose to the caliper nipple and put that in something to collect the oil. After I close the caliper and remove the cup I top up the reservoir with a few drops of oil.

Was looking at extended range cogs last night. Good to see I have a few more options. They are all quite expensive.

I’m sure they are i-spec b, bought in July so should be.

The 301 looks great, but I don’t have to think about bearings with my turner. Just a squirt of grease every so often. I’ll probably get the next flux incarnation when it breaks.

Went to Food for Though vegetarian restaurant last week in Covent garden. Was £8.70 for a proper portion of food. The place was very popular.

Open bath means the oil you put in the leg to do the damping is open to the air in the fork leg. A FIT damper is isolated from the air so the oil you put in the legs is to lubricate the bushings.

For me the only band I keep going back to is Motorhead and the ace of spades LP is the pinnacle for me. Primeval bass driven punk metal. I always miss the title track though as I’ve heard it so many times everywhere. I also loved Voivod as they were so original but still brutal.

I’m surprised he didn’t try to sneek some orange or hope logo’s onto the Spitfire.

Watched the one where he helps to rebuild a Spitfire last night. Not sure if it was a repeat but guess it was. Seeing a BMW getting shot to pieces with a 50 caliber machine gun was definitely the highlight for me. Would like to do that on an almost daily basis.

Ok so I need the newer skf seals. Hardly used my old ones which is quite annoying. I’m surprised the oil in the lower legs makes it up as far as the seal to be honest.

Thanks, I have SKF low friction seals but not sure if they are gold compatible. I have fit 32’s and f120’s o/b, so gold in both legs of the fit forks and in 1 leg of the open bath fork.

They do it all the time. I can usually anticipate when they are about to step out. So as well as keeping my eyes on the road, have to be looking at the pavement too. When there is no traffic they walk in the road and get angry when you try to ride past them.

That’s interesting to know about the data allowance. I actually have a PDA which has co-pilot on it so I guess I could use that. I do like google maps on my phone. My mate uses google maps on his phone in conjuction with a Tomtom.
