sent my cups (shimano) off to betd and they put in enduro bearings in for £25 posted (don’t know if it’s the same price now).Used them for courier work for 7 months and they were still smooth as ever.Bike got nicked but I’m sure they would have gone on for another 7 and more.Maybe hope will be cheaper if it’s their own BB.

I was there today.Only wanted to go for a bit but suddenly I was trapped. The police wouldn’t let anybody leave for hours. So many people just wanted to go.Surely they can manage to let people out and not let people in?
Think they were dying for things to kick off and this penning in tactic is perfect for intimidating people and causing more anger and frustration. Then the newspapers and BBC get their shots of “protesters attacking police” for their biased coverage.

The first time I dislocated mine I couldn’t get up or do anything.I was in the most unbelievable pain.I damaged nerves so couldn’t move my hand much for a few weeks.Took about 9 months for the tingling to go , had physio for months too.I dislocated it again about a year and a half ago, this time it wasn’t as painful even though I’d broken my humerus as well.Luckily there was no nerve damage. They shortened some ligament or tendon during the first operation.Coming up to the anniversary of my last operation to have the plate out.It still hurts sometimes but can carry heavy stuff without too much trouble.
You should get it checked out.

It was locked to itself as I don’t have time to spend looking for some railings usually.Guess the fact that it was very light made it easier for him to carry on his shoulder. Most of the couriers lock their wheels to the frame and usually I’m in and out quickly.
I’ll be checking brick lane this sunday. As I did 3 years ago when a bike got nicked that I did lock around railings. The next bike I will go out of my way to make it look like shite.

Know what you mean about the flat on the stud area but there is nothing like that on this frame.I would have thought they would be replaceable too.

Thanks for the advice but “put the saw down” has seemed to have stuck with me.

The stays curve slightly which will make filing less risky for the paint around

Yeah damaging the paint is a big concern as well.Would have to be really careful.

I’ve done it before on some cheap steel forks and looked ok.But think I’ll leave it for now. It’s a second hand frame.Great job on the planet x.
