Bought some reba's really cheap from ebay. The steerer was really short so knew they would go fairly cheaply. They didn't turn properly, like the steerer was bent somewhere, it didn't look bent. Thought I could live with that. So took them apart and the stanchions were quite bably corroded. There was no oil inside at all. Anyway got my money back. Worth the risk as they were only about £50.

I friend of mine was testing his new time atac pedals in some kind of garage. Not sure of the circumstances but he ended up falling into the "ditch" where you do work under the car. He broke his skull quite badly in a few places. He was lucky to survive apparently. Anyway I've used shimano for years and just started using time atacs with no problems :)

Don't know where I can demo one. Nowhere near me though. Would be a good idea before laying down £1420.

Not read it Julian. Who wrote it? What's his other job?

Saw the Merlin offer. Only black with "raw" swing arm. Kind of like red front end :) Still tempted mind. Don't know what training zones 4 and 5 are so maybe I shouldn't then. Was that not for the Nitrous? Only thing bad when I read about it is the price.

Thanks Kev, suppose I will have to bleed them again after? Only did it a few months ago and found it a bit of a pain. Might just send it to hayes.

They are american brakes I guess, not designed to cope with water.

The lever is really loose at the pivot, it must be the seals. Had this with formula oro's a while back.

Might be slightly harder to ride uphill, the front end may wander. The headtube may snap off due to leverage forces and you'll die.

Used to drop the chain now and again when I used a standard xt front mech on my 36/22 setup. Happened when changing down. Bought an SLX front mech and problem solved.

Think you can only service the air spring. The damper is nitrogen charged and dangerous to tamper with.

Ex girlfriend bought me a stress relieving squashy ball called a mudmonster. Mountain biking is much better at relieving stress and much more fun though.

I have a pair of their prescription ones with grey lenses. I had to get a less curved frame than the one I wanted as there was a lot of distortion. Felt like I was riding a toy bike. There is still a bit of distortion on these but I got used to it. They are meant to have scratch proof lenses but they are covered in scratches now after about 7 months. When I call I just get number busy or modem noises. The transition part of the lense works well though.

As I remember it's just the same as normal but set the 3rd shift so you can't shift into it. My bike is in Leeds and I'm in London so can't check.

Yes it has crossed my mind that it isn't muscle pain. Well I tried to stop drinking for a while after a long weekend in berlin in february. It lasted 2 weeks until a party came along and I overdid it a "bit". The next day I had a lot of pain in my back for 5 or 6 days. More of a dull pain though. It went away and I forgot about it. The pain I have now is more sharp and hurts with certain movements. That's the thing I don't really know for sure and the doctor didn't either. I'll wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Just had a bath. It's strange how muscles can hurt so much. I like the ache in my legs after a hard ride. If I had pain in them like this I'd be a fat couch potato.

Been using zheng gu shui. Got it when I had a plate removed from my shoulder. Said it's good for back pain as well as bone healing.

6 replies while I was writing before. I'm just gonna have to try and get on with it. My friend recommended the ibuleve, said it worked for him. Internet research backs up what the doc said.

I'm working as a courier and sometimes the bag can get heavy. It doesn't seem to increase the pain though. I did first feel pain while at work though, just bending down to pick up my bag. I just don't feel like it's getting better which is the worrying thing. She gave me a prescription for naproxen but only if the pain gets too bad.

No she just said stay active and take ibruprufen. I bought some ibuleve, it's not doing anything

If they are worn they just fall out or come off really easily. Maybe put the shock mount in vice and pull on the shock while twisting.

Yeah I know about the chainrings. Think I'll go for the triple and sell the middle and granny.
