What difference does having the top bolt undone make?

I love mine. Only had it a bit so the only proper rides I’ve done was a frozen weekend at Afan. I consider it more of a trail bike really. Especially with a 120mm fork. It fits me better than my last bike(blur) longer and lower. I felt much more confident in ever aspect of my riding, especially on the downhills.

Pull off rebound knob. Unscrew bolts a bit. Hit the bolts with a rubber hammer until they break loose from the bottom of the stanchions. Pull off stanchions. Remove circlip from bottom of air spring leg. Pull out spring, the spacer will be near the top. There are tutorials on youtube.

Spent too much time on here procrastinating but at least it kept me entertained and half inspired. Got my dream bike now courtesy of stw too :)

F-series don’t have the honeycomb structure inside the brace. Guess there are other weight saving features too. Think the damping will be just as good throughout the range, but a few less adjustments. I heard that with f-series the travel can’t be changed with internal spacers like with float. Not sure if it’s true or not. Anyway I’m drunk and probably waffling crap.

I thought it was 4 too but bought a bleed kit on ebay and it says 5.1. Think I’ll just use dot 4. Thanks

Been using the silver/grey ones for a few months, 8 and 9 speed. They do seem pretty good. Of course they need to be lubed, not noticed rust when I’ve left it after a wet ride though.

Used a standard xt mech with a double setup. It worked well enough but chain fell off quite often. This stopped happening once I bought a double specific.

Been doing this trendy veggie thing for 23 years now. Will never go back to eating meat. But I don’t care if people wanna eat it, it’s their choice and been vegetarian is mine.

Wow, you were at the first motorhead gig. I’m impressed. I didn’t get to see them until 1986. Took me the whole of bad news’s set to get to the front. Then my new ill fitting glasses fell off my face and ended up in the mud. Managed to grab them before they were moshed to oblivion. Now I normally hang around outside until the touts have had enough. I’ve got in very cheap and once for free.

I had some and they were great. Used all through winter 8 hours a day. Probably still going strong now.

I’m not sure about how much they are but the hire bike racks look pretty well stocked all the time at the moment. Think the weather isn’t gonna be great this week so I reckon you won’t have any trouble getting one.

I’m sure the government make a lot from the taxes, so they won’t get banned. A friend of mines dog was petrified for weeks on end. She had to give it some kind of pet valium on november 5th.
