Watched it the first time around but worth watching a second time

You shouldn’t need longer bolts. After using a bash ring for some time I realised it was pointless as I never bashed it anyway. Made it harder to clean too. Just needed some narrow bolts.

Using a schwalbe marathon plus on the back wheel. One puncture in about 8 months (a big screw). It has an unnerving sensation when riding over road markings. Think it’s the very thick protective layer moving. Will try the normal marathon next, less protection but hopefully no more squirming around. The tread has worn down, but not full of holes and slashes like the maxxis re-fuse on the front.

I have an air zound but sometimes even that doesn’t work on those suicidal pedestrians.

    The laser show was rubbish.

Got the same on my iphone after crashing a couple of times and landing with all my weight on it while it was in my bum bag.

I ended up taking off my bash ring as as I’ve only managed to get a rock to hit it twice. Saves a bit of weight and I can clean the outside of my chainring now.

I’ve noticed lately in the bike videos how much I really enjoy the sound of the bikes rattling over rough terrain.

But usually drowned out by s**t music.

The ride on the towpath to crosshills when all terrain cycles used to be there was quite interesting in places. Anyway I refuse to be goeded.

Thanks for the advice. Will take out the spacer and try again. Put 50 psi in before, thought it would be enough to fully extend the fork.

Thanks, that what I put in, well apart from 30ml in left leg for extra lubrication. Next question: They are 100mm forks but only 90mm of stanchion was showing. Took out the 20mm spacer from inside but then only 80mm was showing. Put spacer back in and now 86mm is showing??

Been squatting in London for 8 years. I couldn’t survive on my wages otherwise. 26k would be a dream for me.

I looked through the instruction sheet but couldn’t find anything. Only screws look like they hold it together. Was wondering if it is the one next to the 22.2 number on the bottom?

The new XT shifters have a small switch to change between double and triple ring set-ups.

It said it had the switch on info next to the shifter before I bought it. I’m really confused about all this now. So they have a switch on the mech too. So I have to buy a front mech as well?

Took the rings off and replaced them with the 22/36 rings. They must have changed the distance between the rings on the double version. It either rubs against the cage or drops off the chainrings. If I’d have bought a 10 speed triple it should have worked.

I think my front mech is double specific. I’m normally good with gears but there is no way I can get this to work.

Yes should have made it clear that I had a double setup before with a xt triple chainset 22/36 rings and a slx mech with the shorter cage. Shifting was perfect. Got 73mm bb shell so got one spacer on the driveside. Small switch on the shifter is what I needed to know :D

I remember buying a second hand one with the same problem. I built the groove back up again with araldite but I never really got it perfect.

Maybe add more than the recommended 30 ml in the non damper side. Heard the upper bushing doesn’t get lubricated enough. Was gonna get get low friction seals but now I’m wondering if it’s worth it.

Followed the video and managed to do it after a couple of goes. It’s a bit fiddly especially the business with the bottle on the caliper.

A friend of mine has a mexican red kneed Tarantula. Can’t handle it as it’s near malting time and she’s a bit grumpy apparently. Was transfixed by her though.

When I first did mine I had pretty bad nerve damage. Couldn’t move my fingers for a few weeks, took months to get better. I didn’t get physio straight away as I was misadvised by my health center.

I dislocated mine twice. The second time it came out quite easily after a low speed crash. It hurt but not a massive amount like the first time. After the xray I was told the bone was cracked and had to have it bolted back together. When I had the plate taken out the surgeon also told me he’d shortened the ligament (not sure how many). It’s been fine since then but I haven’t fallen on it badly It’s always in the back of my mind when doing something technical.

Used to ride with someone who rode a prst-1. He loved it, especially since he didn’t have to take the fork apart after every muddy ride, like on his last bike (some manitou things). The head angle didn’t change when the suspension was compressed (apparently). He cracked the swing arm, mainframe and fork, he was a hard rider though.

Thanks, so I can bleed the EBT set by taking the whole cap off? So I could just get the mini service kit? Just to add to the confusion, CRC says under description for the mini service kit. “The MAGURA rim brake service kit contains everything you need to repair and bleed your MAGURA rim brake”.
