As above, really good day. Just a couple of one lappers for me this year.
I’ll just add that it’s not to be under estimated lots of sharp climbing and a fair bit off camber. But as said go for it your love it!

Yep as above. I’d be looking for an installer with the correct qualifications to install an Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems (UHWSS). It will also need to be notified to your local building control (like gas appliances) or the installer may be able to self certify through the likes of Gas Safe.
I personally only supply and fit these.

I’ve never experienced midges in the lakes like the Scottish ones. As for a tarp, it can be quite wet at times in the Lakes even in the summer. Worth checking forecasts. Depends if you can relax under one in the wet.

So sorry to hear all the tragic stories.

We have had two suicides on my mother’s side of the family in recent years. My mum’s sister in 2013 and then her son (mid 40’s), my cousin, took his life 14 months ago. Both had been struggling with mental health issues for some time. Suicide leaves so many ripples in the pond for all involved from family to friends to work colleges and so on and so on.

After 14 months I’m still thinking ‘if only this, if only that’.

I had one taken, not stolen though…

While working on a empty rented property, I had the meter out while working on the gas in the house. I left it in the entrance hall. I came out to re-connect and it had gone. Long storey very short, it turned out that the previous tenant owed the gas supplier a shed load of money and just be chance they had come to disconnect and reclaim the meter the same day I was working on it! The supplier person just took it with out telling any one. It took the landlord ages to find out what had actually happened.

Can’t see them replacing non battery powered bikes altogether. They don’t interest me at moment but I dare say one day I’ll be looking at them as my body falls apart!

    This is great to hear👍

Remember everyone to look after your mental health as well as you look after your physical health.

Today we will be remembering my cousin who passed a year ago this day due to mental health issue’s.

I’d wouldn’t give it a second thought. Bugger what anyone else at gig thinks.

I have a TR Zero , use it for snappy single track, surrey hills etc also XC, South/north downs and local bridleways in between. It’s not as slack at the AM but it is always happy to be pointed down hill, on my rides anyway.
    Oh and I love it.

Is that two at a time or one after the other😂

I had a little scare a few months ago. I had the finger, blood test and MRI. Got the all clear last Tuesday. Relived is a understatement😊

I almost clicked enter today for Sunday but didn’t. The only racing I’ve ever done has been Brighton Big Dog, 3 times. Out of interest how do they compare.
Sorry OP for slight hijack of thread.

Alot of your tyre choice will depend on where you spend most of your time winter riding ie I couldn’t use a wide tyre for Sussex slop as really need a narrow tyre to cut through it.

Seeing as we are having a head count of the slightly older gentlemen rider. I’m 50, 51 in April. Not sure how on earth I’m suddenly of this age but there it is.

I’ve had a TR since April and haven’t looked back. Absolutely love it; the geometry seems to suit me perfectly.

I have had no problems with my local singletrack, ok not really hardcore but in Friston, Stanmer, Surrey hills, Tilgate, St lennys, Whiteways and cross country locally around my area its been a blast. I even managed a 7th place in the Wonder Dog lap in this years Brighton Big dog and considering the racy short travel XC bikes it was up against I think it performed well. I can’t however comment on proper DH trail centre riding though. All I’ll say it’s slack enough to have some fun but not to slack to get some miles under your belt. Go and demo one if you can.

The 27.5 TR Zero is a very capable bike and goes like a rocket, I don’t see why the 29er shouldn’t be any different😊

For such a tiny country Solovenia has a lot going for it. The folk are nice too.

Went there about 8 years ago and loved it. Just did a load of walking in hills at the time and did the Stud and caves. I don’t remember much of a lingo problem at the time.

My pennies worth would be to not be tempted to go to short. You might look cool in the car park but it will be no fun in the sea! I lost count how many folk i saw trying to use a short board in the shallows with no obvious experience on our last trip South west a couple of week’s ago. Your get bored in no time. Right length board = endless pleasure

Seventh , down two places from last year in the Wonder Dog Lap for me but very happy with that…. Second lap armed with a new number and more determination to beat the time of my first lap but couldn’t manage it, just as well as Timelap didn’t record it anyway.

A brilliant event and atmosphere. Well done all.
