    What’s the intended outcome from said “burping”?

    This aside did you check the sag / pressure after the service? If not maybe too much air in there. Otherwise maybe you had too little before and were getting full travel when you shouldn’t have done. Im no expert but I wouldn’t expect full travel to happen unless you were casing a jump or really hammering a rock garden…

    If it’s on the bead of the tire then you might find it impedes a good seal and makes it harder to get it to inflate.

    Otherwise wouldn’t bother aside from removing the biggest clumps.

    Have you tried the Macro record function. Do what you want once then edit the code to be repetitive.

    There’s a 27.2 Gravity dropper turbo (the lighter one) for sale in the classifieds. Fairly agricultural but you don’t get the soggy problem that you do in reverbs and the mechanism is very easy to service so good for a bike that might see some mucky miles.

    @hot_fiat how are you attaching it to the rack?

    Take the spinning arms off and check the jets for blockages

    On mine I have the same.

    For me it is Solved by lifting the clamp end up on the ball (in fact lift the whole thing up) and then closing it. Lift with the clamp in the horizontal,just about to close position since if you open the clamp then it will come off the ball when lifted.

    Fitted a reversing camera to mine the other day as I’m so used to having one one the car I’ve got lazy.

    Thanks- looking for something to go on the bike rack rather than a new rack as the bike rack tilts but the platforms don’t seem to.

    I know the roof is an option – got a box and thule 598 but they’re a faff to put on / take off and was wondering if something could be paired with the tow bar rack.

    In terms of contents – not so much road kill but holiday stuff – bike gear / other clothing etc so shouldn’t be massively heavy.

    It’s a bit odd that it doesn’t tilt when the bike racks do.

    Do you reckon the easy bag would go on a bike rack? Or does it need a flat base?

    Thanks guys.

    @cakeandcheese
    that’s the sort of thing I was thinking of, although not necessarily a box as big as a bike one and would need to be waterproof too.

    @wobbliscott
    I looked at the easybase but that doesn’t tilt to allow boot access, so have discounted that plus that’s a stuff but no bikes option.

    @crazybaboon

    This one? https://www.specializedconceptstore.co.uk/product/6070/2017-stumpjumper-fsr-comp-29/

    Looks like that’s 120cm wheelbase which is the max it’s “rated” for. So fitting longer does seem like it would be trickier

    @gkeeffe, is that a 145 with 1255mm wheelbase?

    Yes saw the quoted max, but wondered of experiences with longer than 120cm

    Thanks all. I was thinking locus looks good but have a blooming iPhone.

    Is Backcountry navigatior available for iOS? A google search didn’t yield any obvious hits.

    Anybody riding tomorrow (Thursday 23rd) who wouldn’t mind showing me a good a route? Weather forecast looks ok at the moment…

    Thanks all – I’ve PM’d / emailed @gorilla, @milbore and @sprocker-hopefully the weather gods will be smiling and we can work something out!

    Thanks for the other tips too.

    Thanks for the bike shop tip.

    @gorrilla, @ sprocker @mildbore thanks for your offers.

    I can ride (subject to management approval) a few part days on or in between sat 18th and thu 23rd march so Tuesday 21st would be good and if gorilla/mildbore you’re able to do a different one that would be great.

    Thanks jekkyl – I’ll take a look at the link.

    I do have a Garmin (well Satmap) and that’s the approach I took last time.

    By ‘morning’ I mean starting promptly at 8-9 and then finishing early afternoon rather than an all day affair. Equally if someone was riding afternoon / evenings that would work too.

    Thanks – I was hoping someone might be riding who I could tag a long with.

    i find having to stop constantly to read a book or map is fine when walking but much less so when riding (I’m pretty rubbish at it anyway!)
