I can’t state any specific reason not to nor spout any spurious physics to support said reason but I just wouldn’t do it

S&J has done and I think it rides ok but why would you when Mike does so many other frames more suitable?

they have a full PDI before they are re-boxed and sent out

So which PDI is that? I always go for a Peripheral Decarboxylase Inhibitor on all my bikes

I have one of these from tranz x, picked it up brand new for 40 notes on the ‘bay.

Works well (also a candidate for worlds most boring video)

what chain is it and when you fitted it first what did you use to link it?

If its a shimano chain and you didnt use the proper linking bit (shimano chain connector pin) it will snap indefinitely, you can’t just use a chain tool to push two separate bits together using a standard connector.

If you used a new SRAM chain did you use the powerlink?

it really depends what brand you use. Where did you get that tip, off Aggie on How Clean is your House?

as jfeb says hammer and old seatpost will be fine and do less damage than a screwdriver. Alternatively, an old flat handlebar

I made one myself using Lummox’s method and it worked ok (clicky for example) but as mrmichaelwright says if you are riding big n hard then it really is far too jerky as per my other example

I think its pretty good. Nice filming although some of the shots are a bit jerky and nicely edited together. Try adding some of the still shots through the video rather than all at the end as they have a bit of a feel of just being stuck on the end.

What did you use to edit it?

I gave up all caffeine for no particular reason other than to ‘give it a go’ in August and now just drink fruit tea (twinings).

Had the usual headache after a few days but paracetomol got me thru those and i havent looked back.

It had the added unforeseen benefit of me losing more than ten pounds in weight too. I was 13 st 12 lbs but now hover around 13st to 13st 3lb. No, I didn’t change anything else in my diet 8)

I did seem to suffer a loss of power on my bike but don’t know if this was just a mental thing. After putting in more miles over the next few months I felt okay again.
