In France pedestrians now have priority when crossing the road regardless of whether they are using a crossing.
“If a pedestrian or cyclist “shows a clear intention to cross” (described as “an ostensible step forward or a hand gesture”) drivers will be required to stop for them. The only exception is where there is a designated pedestrian crossing less than 50m away.”

Epilepsy drugs have a very narrow therapeutic range and the bioavailability can be changed by different formulations of the same active ingredient so it is always better to stay on the same tablets.
However that doesn’t mean that patients cannot be stabilised on the generic equivalents, just that the regime may need to be changed to account for different absorbtion profiles.

This is not a problem with Ibuprofen.

That’s surely like saying, if the shop had filled a Gaviscon bottle with milk and I knew it was milk, it would still work better than generic heartburn medicine!

No, it would work better than milk from a milk bottle.

Three bare wires? That’s not right. The crosstalk would be pretty bad.
Is the line connected back to the exchange and do you have the number?

If not you’ll still end up paying the £150 for a reconnect so you may as well get the new socket. The engineer will likely replace the old wire from outside and should put the socket where you want it (within reason)

So, what does make you a better driver then, if it’s not responsibility and extra training?

    Patience
    Consideration for others
Confidence but not so much that it leads to recklessness

I’m working on these Free classical guitar lessons on the internet given by Jean-François Delcamp http://www.delcamp.us/
(Professor at the Brest Conservatory of Music, Dance and Drama – France)
The lessons will begin in November 2010 and finish in June 2011.
The lessons correspond to the first three years at the conservatory and I’ve opted for the second year.
This is part of my last homework

It’s so that in the event of someone having an accident they can’t sue the local council for not gritting the road.

Do it. Why should any school be allowed to discriminate on the grounds of religion anyway? About time this practice was outlawed if you ask me. School is for education, not indoctrination. I have no problem with anyone who chooses to follow a path that feel happy with, but if you want to bring your child up a Christian, Muslim, Jew or Zoroastian, then do it at home. Children should be educated in schools to have an open mind, and be able to make their own choices when they are ready to themselves, not have ideology thrust upon them.

If you believe this then surely you shouldn’t do it in order to prevent your children being indoctrinated?

Last time this happened to me it turned out to be a couple of energy saving lightbulbs.
The local electric company was giving them away.

The post office was jammed full of the things.

Assuming it’s the windows password you can try:
Ctrl Alt Del twice at the Welcome screen.
This should give you a login box.
    Type in User:
Administrator and leave the password blank

If that works you should be able to reset your password from the User Accounts control panel.

Otherwise a Boot disk is the way I would go as BigButSlimmer says.

Fair enough – mechanical failure in a well serviced car is perhpas one of the very few accidents with no one at fault – although I would be interested to know if the brake failure could have been avoided.

Perhaps the mechanic who did the service could be found to be at fault although “service” could mean anything and may not include checking the brake hoses. Still they are guilty of driving an unroadworthy vehicle and there is no defense.

In the original post I would predict dangerous reduced to careless if the driver pleads guilty and a lenient sentence due to the trauma already caused.

I used to live in Truro and it is (or certainly was) a fantastic place.

I lived about 50yards from that picture of the bench outside the Heron Inn for a while to.

    Those were the days…..

Always got Chips from Walkers but I’m not too fussy about that sort of thing and it was ages ago.

Their idea of a solution was to do a spiffing looking design in Adobe something-or-other then paste the graphic as the backgrond in a Powerpoint template

I've been given a promo CD for a design company and expected something clever as then packaging and CD are nicely turned out. The Cd actually contains a powerpoint that is made up of what appear to be scanned pages from a brochure.
It was difficult to read the scanned text and not everyone has Powerpoint.
I was suprised they would do this in their own marketing.
