I can see why you’d be upset at the pharmacist knowing about your ‘coughing crabs’, but in reality, there is a safety/standard element to be upheld.

I don’t see why you would be “upset” at the pharmacist knowing but not the surgery receptionist? Are you a dispensing doctor?

Are you suggesting that the jury are incapable of coming to a verdict because they are not white? Which seems like casual racism to me.
Perhaps you should also mention that it is a jury of 8 women and 4 men.

I don’t use the word “content” in thread titles
Or append “trackworld” to random words in thread titles

I’m looking forward to the contenttrackworld thread that will be started soon 😉

You don’t have to have/be all these things. Isn’t the site more aspirational? Everyone wants to be a big hitter after all. 😉

Sam Lowry: Excuse me, Dawson, can you put me through to Mr. Helpmann’s office?
Dawson: I’m afraid I can’t sir. You have to go through the proper channels.
Sam Lowry: And you can’t tell me what the proper channels are, because that’s classified information?
Dawson: I’m glad to see the Ministry’s continuing its tradition of recruiting the brightest and best, sir.
    Sam Lowry: Thank you, Dawson.

I reckon you’d have to shoot a cyclist at point blank range with the judge as a witness before having any chance of being convicted, and even then I wouldn’t bet on it

Especially if they’re not wearing a helmet.

ADSL frontplate= waste of money generally, the plug in ones do the same job.

The advantage of the frontplate is that any issues with the extension wiring are eliminated at the first socket as all extensions are already filtered. Therefore you don’t require a filter on every extension. I’ve used them to good effect. Some equipment may not ring if the ringer wire is disconnected unless you use a master socket on the extension.

Does the master plate have extension wiring attached to the connectors on teh back?
    Where is the extension wire?
    Try using one of these?

Loddrick your picture is a master socket the same aswoodys oicture but from the other side.
Connect the Black and Green to A and B and test the socket by plugging an old analogue phone into the test socket under the bottom half ogf the face plate.

If that doesn’t work then try the orange and white pair. (You only have two choices anyway)
If you get a dial tone then with your old phone plugged in try ringing the line. If the phone doesn’t ring then you have the correct pair but the wrong way round.

Since your ADSL appears to be on an extension the second pair must go to it. These should be connected to 2 and 5.

My guess is that this socket is the original master. An extension has been added that required a cable to another room. The engineer or (do it yourself bodger like me)has used the second pair in the cable to run the line back to the external junction box. Then they will have connected the extension pair to another cable that runs to the window where the router is.

I use Bt business broadband here and there is no block on port 25 for SMTP.

They do use weird Authentication on there own SMTP servers which can require connection through a bt connection but this should affect youe server hosted by another company.

I doubt that it’s a BT problem. I would call the email host first to double check the settings.

Connect to the big telly with scart and check the HDMI output settings. The output can be:
    576p 720p 1080i
The converter only accepts input of:
    720P/1080i/1080P
You’ll probably also need to change the aspect ratio as the monitor is not wide screen.
