Where’s the link to “Every Sperm is sacred” from “the meaning of life”?
I’m surprised no-ones posted it yet.

Or it could be GORD which also tends to be worse when lying down.
It is probably worth a trip to the doctor as untreated it can cause stomach ulcers. It could also be caused by H.Pylori infection which will need treatment.
There’s information here which also contains some dietary advice.

The TUC poster makes the statement:
“5.5 million British abroad compared to 4.2 million foreign nationals in England and Wales”
But comparing numbers in this like for like way is not indicative of anything. 4.2 million people in the UK is a significant proportion of the population. 5.5 million Britons outside the UK is a spit in the ocean.

Australia has a large number of British residents due to the history of Australia.

So 4.2 million foreign nationals in the UK with population 62 million is about 6%
5.5million British overseas with a global population of 7.2 Billion is less than 0.1%
    ??

In my experience the more switches you go through the slower the connection will be. Can’t you run three cables? One to each device?

According to ninfan’s link it is permitted if the height is less than 2.5m.
If it is under 2.5m (or you can make it so) then I would try to get the council to accept that it is permitted and no planning application is necessary.
If you go down the retrospective application route there is a financial cost to you and if people object you may be required to remove the shed even though it is technically permitted.

If there are bears in the area you should be careful. Wearing a bell is advised to alert the bears to your location and a pepper spray should be carried in case the bear becomes aggressive.
Bears can be identified by their poo. Black bear poo is small and dark in colour containing seeds and undigested berries. Brown bear poo is large, smells strongly of pepper and contains little bells.

I don’t understand why regulations make it safer?
Nuclear power is regulated but people seem to think that that is unsafe.

There is no requirement for the prime minister to have a vote on going to war.
David Cameron was probably quite aware that the vote would go against him otherwise he wouldn’t have needed to call the vote in the first place.
He has avoided being the prime minister that gets us into an unpopular war (unlike Tony Blair) and when people say how can you stand there and do nothing he can point to the vote.
If anything he has managed to save face and shown that democracy can actually work sometimes.

No I don’t think that will work. with a vga splitter you will get the same picture on both screens.
You may be able to do dual monitors if you use the laptop screen as one and the VGA port as the other.
I have a VGA/ DVI splitter that sounds like yours on my system. Is it a Dell? If so it’s a weird proprietary dual screen DVI connector.

You may find that the desktop drive is a 5.25inch and the laptop is 3.5inch.
    Otherwise probably not.

    From the Highway Code:
“You MUST NOT park partially or wholly on the pavement in London, and should not do so elsewhere unless signs permit it.”

London is s specific case where parking on the pavement is not allowed unless stated. Everywhere else parking on the pavement is allowed unless the Local council have taken control of parking enforcement AND have created a bylaw banning pavement parking.
Obstructing the pavement is an offence.

It may have a factory restore partition hidden on the hard disk which requires a key combination to access at boot time. (you will loose any files on the system if this is the case).

    What laptop is it?

“a string of characters appears in the password box every boot. ” Stuck key?

    Madness

Never get there at this rate
Hes caught up in a jam.
    There’s a meeting this morning
It’s just his luck oh damn!
His hand dives in his pocket
    For his handkerchief.
Pearls of sweat on his collar
    His pulse-beat seems so brief.
    Eyes fall on his wristwatch
    The seconds pass real slow
    Gasping for the hot air
But the chest pain it wont go.
    Tried to ask for help
But cant seem to speak a word,
    Words are whispered frantically
But dont seem to be heard.
What about the wife and kids?
    They all depend on me!

    We’re so sorry
We told you not to hurry.
    Now its just too late
    You’ve got a certain date
We thought we made it clear
We all voiced our inner fears
We left it up to you
    Theres nothing we can do.

Round here it’s ok to park on double yellow lines as ling as you park with most of your car covering the pavement.

A while back I was riding to work when a youth goes flying past me riding with no hands. Smug git.
When he gets about 20yds ahead his front wheel looses it and he goes straight over the handlebars.
I tried really hard not to laugh out loud as I went past him.
I think I may be telekinetic!

Now I’m thinking that if there had of been an accident I’m not sure I was technically at fault, after all my wife was indicating left at the time and there was enough room to turn into the junction.

Now you’re thinking like a motorist.
A near miss is something that everyone can learn from so you will no doubt take more care opening car doors and the cyclist may be more cautious on the inside cycle path overtaking traffic.
