check no muck or bit of stone has got in behind the 2 set screws or hi/lo screws. disconnect the gear cable from the mech and push it by hand to set any gear, see how far it will go, if that’s okay check the lever for any fouling, replace gear cable if found to be sticking at all

whats that a reverb going wrong? hmmm that doesn’t sound at all like a “reverb” 😯 (just had mine back returned under warranty) aka sarcasm.
When did you buy this, there is a 2 year warranty on sram stuff so hopefully you can take it to a lbs and they can return it for you. Personally I wouldn’t bother repairing it myself…have you seen the 4 part service guide supplied by sram on youtube (….no way….)

that’s 4 PARTS! and has many, many tools…

cheers for the heads up, will give that trail a miss. many a log found on various routes these days. Went out round leeds calverley woods the other week, some group has gone to great lengths at stopping riders (not just mtb) by actually chopping trees down??? not one but lots

started out life with endura mesh, got fed up washing them and no longer bother now. Go commando in a pair of cheap polyester pants no bother on a full suspension. using padded pants on a mountain bike is a bit overkill unless your on the saddle all day

don’t bother fixing it yourself, just take it back to the shop as it’s still within the 2 year warranty period. got reverb on both bikes, one has been replaced UW becuase it wouldn’t stay up correctly during normal riding and states in the manual if this happens return to shop. The other is now showing your problem, or has lost pressure, and will be returned to store shortly. Fair to say terrible reliability 😕 but couldn’t do without. The bleeding on these things is very easy however will not fix loss of pressure. As for servicing – have you seen the 4 part video sram did on youtube?? took one look and thought better

if you haven’t bought it yet then fit a back to wall instead, much less hassle and similar effect with no visible cistern. metal frame is a must if you do

plumbers putty… should be cheap and readily available at a plumbers merchant or local diy, similar to the b&Q stuff probably. As a temporary fix whats not to lose – then fix it properly on your return

it is difficult with knee pads usually a small size but had to go medium on these http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/16176/fox-launch-enduro-knee-pad?variantId=74423&gclid=CIO3t9PXrMUCFQXMtAodJCwAyQ otherwise they wouldn’t get past my ankle 8)

carbon is fine, is it coated with helitape to protect from dings and scratches? take many photos of it now as you will probably never get it looking so new again. Unless you are like one of our gang who has a yeti and polish’s it everyride. Rough rule of thumb I’ve found with shock pressures is take your ride weight (add gear and backpack) and convert to kilos. For every 10 kilos add 10psi in the front shock and double this for back. then fettle around up or down 10 psi from there

putting s sign at the EXIT and nowhere else would be grounds for insufficient signage, as one wouldn’t notice it until you were leaving. appeal by which they must abide by the issue of fairness in the process

for something cheap and portable consider one of these, you can get them in bigger sizes too. decent amount of pressure certainly enough to remove the majority of muck

if your looking for a long distance “off road” ride without many technical bits then yes (perhaps a cross over from road biking?) that seems to be the gist of this route, it’s only dull if your looking for long distance mental challenge stuff the likes you get on routes in the peaks, dales or lakes. You may call it dull, others may say that’s perfect. There are always sections you can turn off and head towards a piece of rocky stuff if that’s your fancy.

after seeing the article in MBR yesterday (may edition) about the introduction of another 2 wheel sizes (650b+ and 29+) I thought geees when and how am I going to update my fantastic 26 inch frame? 👿 I’m quite happy to ride 26 inch.. does anybody still make them?

    muddy9mtb

mbr have a write up on it in this months may edition looks okay for a long intermediate ride with a group of mates just wanting to get some distance in without too much technical stuff

the scratches on your alu look far deeper than elbow grease is gonna remove – look at youtube for alloy wheel repair to get some idea on how best to go about it.. will probably involve a power tool of some sort.
