To answer a few queries, yes, I have quite possibly overdone it having a new bike and using it more than my last one.

I know its my IT band as I have had issues with it previously when hill walking but a pair of Superfeet resolved that.

Its a Whyte T130, dont know if thats considered ‘long and low’

    Thanks again

    Mountain bike.
Significant differences in bike. Old one 10yr old hardtail. New one FS and obviously totally different style………

Thanks, I wont be doing any running with it.
    Purely for cycling and swimming.
Would like it to measure laps in the pool (without having to press a button after each length)
Will mainly be used for mountain biking though

Yeah – I’m up in the Highlands (Aviemore).

Having looked at all the advice, I think I may struggle to beat the 2018 Whyte T-130 S at which I have found for £1900.

    Thanks everyone

Just over budget ( for this year) but in the true STW way of recommending what you’ve got?

    A Whtye T-130s

The 2018 version is available for £1900. Any thoughts on it?

    Hi,

Should have said I have found that sink on Ebay previously. Its the correct sink but they are refusing to post it to me as they are scared it will get broken enroute. Ive suggested the courier collection etc etc. No joy there. Ive begged them.

It has to be the same one as it fits onto a unit otherwise I’d basically nee to change the ensuite.

I had never previously heard of Genesis.

The main suggestions are building my own one – which I dont fancy doing, or

The Orange crush or the Genesis Altitude 10.

Does anyone know of any likns for reviews for these bikes.

Also, no one has said anything about the Cannondale or Rockhopper. Is that for any particular reason?

    Thanks again

I'm 6 foot tall, of a medium build and about 12.5 stone. It would be for mostly for cross country that I would be using it.

I was out on the bike fairly constantly about 4-5 years ago but I would like to get back into it. As such I'm slightly out of the loop now. It was a Kona Caldera which I previously had.
